(Clearwisdom.net) 1. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Zhang Jie Brutally Tortured
in Jilin Prison Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Jie, 28, was arrested and sentenced because
of the March 5 television signal interception incident. He is currently detained
in the Jilin Province Second Jail in the Ninth Detention District. He has been
tortured until he cannot eat, and he even vomits if he drinks water. The police
from the Jilin Province Second Jail told his relatives they had to pay for Mr.
Zhang to get medical treatment, and release on medical bail is prohibited. Zhang
Jie's wife was also arrested for the same incident and sentenced to two years of
forced labor. She was recently released but is very weak and cannot work. They
have no money and their situation is extremely difficult. 2. [Hubei Province] Nineteen Practitioners Arrested from Xishui County In the afternoon of December 24, during a group experience sharing among
practitioners from Xishui County, Hubei Province, police from Wanggang Town
Police Substation came and arrested 19 practitioners. Eleven have been released,
but the others are still detained at the First and Second Detention Centers of
Xishui County. Those detained include: Mr. Wang Guixiang, Mr. Wang Zheng'an, Mr. Wang Youchu,
Mr. Xia Guoping, Mr. Cheng Zhiping, Mr. Wei Yajun, Ms. Zhang Ai'yu and Mr. Guo
Youyuan. 3. [Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners from Yingkou City, Boyuquan
District, Arrested and Sent to a Brainwashing Center On the morning of November 25, 2004, four policemen arrested practitioner Ms.
Li Cuihong, who is over 60 years old, from Haixing Village in the Boyuquan
District. Two officers pulled her arms, while the other two dragged her by her
feet for over 300 meters. A crowd gathered and witnessed the abuse. Many people
criticized the police, but the police didn't listen, and continued to drag Ms.
Li to the police car. Li Cuihong has been arrested three times since 2002. Practitioner Ms. Yao Qiang, over 50 years old, lives in the family residence
building of the criminal police team. Four policemen abducted her. She was
arrested twice before this. Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Lijun, over 60 years old, is a clinical doctor.
She was also arrested on the same day. Ms. Yang has been arrested three times. The three practitioners were sent to the Yingkou City Brainwashing Center to
try to force them to give up their belief. 4. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Jianping Tortured Nearly to
Death In Xinxing Town the Yancheng City 610 Office and the Tinghu Police Station
again arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Jianping, who is from Yancheng
City, Jiangsu Province. In March, seven or eight policemen emerged from a police
vehicle and dragged Ms. Wang away, to the shock of over 100 onlookers. While she
was being abducted for placement in a brainwashing center, Ms. Wang clarified
the truth to the spectators, who were furious with the unjust actions of the
police. The 610 Office and the police sentenced Ms. Wang to one and a half years of
forced labor. She was charged with making the police department look bad in
front of such a big audience. She went on a hunger strike to protest the torture
she experienced at the Judong Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province and escaped
by maintaining strong righteous thoughts. On October 22, 2004, Xinxing Town police sent Ms. Wang to Judong Forced Labor
Camp once again. She has been on a hunger strike for two months and is now on

Fang Zhuangzhao Family In the spring of 2002, Ms. Zhang Zhihua (Mr. Fang Zhuangzhao's wife), from
Kouzi Town, Wendeng City, Shandong Province, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun
Dafa but was captured and sentenced by the Wendeng City 610 Office to three
years of forced labor reform. The forced labor camp refused to accept her. On
July 23, 2003, the Wendeng 610 Office arrested Ms. Zhang again and sent her to
Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for three years. At 9:00 p.m. on August 10, 2004, officers from the Wendeng City 610 Office
stormed into Mr. Fang's home. When his daughter, Fang Jianli, questioned whether
they had any authorization to enter, the officers became furious and started
attacking her. They illegally seized possession of the house, stole Mr. Fang's
cassette player, Falun Dafa books, and 850 yuan in cash. Then they
arrested Mr. Fang's family members, including Fang Jianli, Fang Guozhao (62
years old), Sun Xuecai (67 years old), and Zhang Qishu (67 years old). Fang
Jianli was sentenced to three years of forced labor after being illegally

Ms. Zhai Yongyi to Undergo Brainwashing At the end of November 2004, police arrested Mr. Zhang Yuwei while he was
distributing truth-clarifying materials with his father. Mr. Zhang had been an
employee at the Weichai Company, but his employment contract was voided because
he persisted in practicing Falun Dafa. Mr. Zhang was detained at the Weifang
City 610 Office Brainwashing Center, located within the former Weifang City
Vocational School for Industry Cadres campus. There he was forced to endure
brainwashing. The 610 Office employees attempted to extort 10,000 yuan from his
family but failed. Now they have threatened the family that if Mr. Zhang still
refuses to renounce his belief in Falun Gong he will be sent to a forced labor
camp. Recently Ms. Zhai Yongyi and another practitioner went to the Industry Cadre
Institute to visit Mr. Zhang. The 610 Office personnel searched both of them and
found that Ms. Zhai had a receipt for 2,000-yuan worth of CDs. For this reason,
they detained her at the brainwashing center for torture. She still has not been
released. 7. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Yongjun, Sentenced to Eight
Years on a Fabricated Charge, Appeals Mr. Li Yongjun, 32 years old, lives in Huajingxin Town in the Tianhe District
of Guangzhou City. On the evening on April 23, 2004, Mr. Li Yongjun and Ms. Dai
Yanhong and her husband were arrested and their homes seized by the Tianhe
District 610 Office. The officers illegally confiscated all Falun Dafa books,
materials and equipment, including a fax machine, a notebook, a scanner, a
printer, a paper-cutting machine, and a binder. Ms. Dai escaped by maintaining
righteous thoughts after three months on a hunger strike. Mr. Li was detained at
the Tianhe District Brainwashing Center. On June 28, he was sent to Tianhe
District Detention Center. On September 21, 2004, Tianhe District Court held a public trial for Li
Yongjun. Eight family friends were present, including Ms. Dai. (Restrictions set
by the court limited the number of people allowed to attend.) At the trial, Mr.
Li was emaciated and his speech and responses were abnormally slow. He mentioned
twice during the trial that "both his body and mind were seriously
damaged" and "his current health condition was very poor." On December 3, 2004, Tianhe District People's Court sentenced Mr. Li to eight
years in jail on fabricated charges. He refused the sentence in court and
announced his intention to appeal. Mr. Li's counsel submitted a petition of
appeal to the Tianhe District People's Court on his behalf and officially
proposed to appeal to the Guangzhou City Intermediate Court. Mr. Li has been on
a hunger strike to protest since the day he was sentenced. Guangdong Province
Telecommunications Hospital, a hospital connected to the Tianhe District
Detention Center, brutally force-fed him. 8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Weiping and Ms. Wang Yuling
Illegally Detained for Distributing Truth-clarifying Materials Ms. Sun Weiping and Ms. Wang Yuling from the Daoli District of Harbin City,
Heilongjiang Province, were reported for distributing truth-clarification
materials in Zhaodong City. Officers from the Zhaodong City Police Sub-station
in Heilongjiang Province abducted the women and beat them. Both women were
hospitalized. They are now illegally detained at the Zhaodong City Detention
Center. No visitors are permitted. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Wang Couple Arrested for Producing Dafa
Materials Mr. Wang and his wife Ms. Shi Wei from Anshan City, Liaoning Province, were
arrested for producing materials for Falun Dafa. Mr. Wang is detained at the
Yueminshan Second Detention Center in Anshan City, and Ms. Shi is being held at
the First Detention Center of Anshan City. Mr. Wang has been on a hunger strike
for over a month. Detention Center officials are not allowing visits from family
members and are attempting to illegally sentence the couple. 11. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Police Arrest
Practitioners In December, the police arrested Ms. Wang Qingyun, Ms. Song Qianyang, and Wu

Persecuted for Practicing Falun Gong Mr. Zhu Jiangxun, a former employee of the Yongping Copper Mineral Factory in
Qianshan County, Jiangxi Province, was sentenced to two years of forced labor
for practicing Falun Gong. He was imprisoned at the Xingjian County Forced Labor
Camp in Jiangxi Province. After his release, his employer fired him, and he is
just getting by with a part-time job. 13. [Jinan City, Shangdong Province] Ms. Meng Lijun and Meng Bo Arrested On December 20, 2004, the Tianqiao District Public Security Bureau destroyed
a Dafa materials production center in Jinan City, Shangdong Province. Four
practitioners, including Ms. Meng Lijun and Meng Bo, were arrested. Meng Bo left
the detention center with righteous thoughts after a four-day hunger strike. The
whereabouts of the other three practitioners are unknown. 14. [Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. An Dong and Mr. Ying
Zhonglian Arrested On December 20, 2004, the Suileng Public Security Bureau of Heilongjiang
Province arrested Mr. An Dong and Mr. Ying Zhonglian at home. 15. [Kaifeng County, Henan Province] Practitioner Cruelly
Tortured at Kaifeng County Labor Camp In June 2004, policemen from Kaifeng County, Henan Province, arrested a male
practitioner (name and age unknown) who was distributing truth-clarifying
materials. The practitioner would not cooperate with the arrest and imprisonment
and refused to reveal his name and address. He went on a hunger strike in
protest and has been brutally force-fed several times at Huaihe Hospital. He is

(Home) 16. [Shanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Guiyun Tortured at the Kaiping
Labor Camp Ms. Gao Guiyun from Shanhe City is being tortured at the Kaiping Labor Camp
in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Gao Guiyun's family's situation is very bad.
They went to visit her at the labor camp but were not allowed in. Ms. Gao Guiyun
is believed to be on a hunger strike in protest. 17. [Chongqing] Fuling District Authorities Arrested and Tortured Ms. Liu
Xinyu Around 4:00 p.m. on December 11, 2004, officers from the Police Substation of
Fuling Teachers' College arrested Ms. Liu Xinyu when she was distributing
truth-clarifying materials. At around midnight, the National Security Team of
the Fuling District Public Security Bureau of Chongqing City took her to the
Fuling District Labor Camp. Ms. Liu Xinyu shouted out, "Falun Dafa is
good." The police injected her with an unknown drug to keep her from
calling out again, and she was unconscious for 24 hours. Her mouth and lips
became dry and chapped. Because she refused to cooperate with them and renounce
Falun Dafa, the police tortured her twenty-four hours a day by handcuffing her
hands behind her back. They will not release her hands even for her to eat or
use the toilet. This has continued for over ten days. Seven other practitioners, including Ms. Chen Yin, Mr. Yuan Qingshen and Li

Bureau Arrested and Tortured Mr. Wang Guanglin Mr. Wang Guanglin, over 30 years old, has a bachelor's degree. In November
2004, he was arrested in the Wanzhou District when he was distributing
truth-clarifying materials. He is now imprisoned and being tortured at the
Wanzhou Labor Camp.
