Stories of Karmic Retribution for Misdeeds in the Persecution

Leading provincial officials in Heilongjiang Province have blindly followed Jiang's regime in persecuting Falun Dafa. These included Xue Youfang, former Heilongjiang Province Party secretary, Tian Fengshan, the former governor, Han Guizhi, the deputy party secretary, Xu Fa, procurator of the provincial high Procuratorate, and Xu Yandong, director of the provincial high court. These officials have turned Heilongjiang Province into one of the most oppressive areas in the nationwide persecution of Falun Dafa. The death toll of Falun Dafa practitioners ranks highest among all of the provinces and municipalities. The following officials have been suspended from their offices and are being detained for taking bribes and their abuse of public office: Xu Youfang, Tian Fengshan, Han Guizhi, Xu Yanmo, Fan Guangju, Fu Xiaoguang, Zhang Qiuyang, Xu Fa and others. Several dozen other corrupt officials across Heilongjiang Province who actively engaged in the persecution ordered by Jiang's regime have also been implicated in the investigations.

Since July 20, 1999, Xu Qiwang, director of the Political Division at the Daqing Police School, collaborated with Cao Lianxi, party secretary, Chen Lingwei, deputy director of the Political Division, and other school officials to actively implement the persecution of Falun Dafa. To gain political favor, they detained Ms. Cui Xiaojuan, a Falun Dafa practitioner who worked at the police school, for extended periods of time against her will in an attempt to "transform" her. To avoid being held responsible for her deteriorating condition, the school officials sent her to the detention center three times. After Ms. Cui died from torture, the officials spread lies that she died because she practiced Falun Dafa. Another Falun Dafa practitioner, Zhang Linqing, who also worked at the school, received an administrative reprimand. They stopped paying his salary and he became unemployed at a young age because he would not give in to the pressure to be "transformed".

Around 5:00 a.m. on October 10, 2004, Xu Qiwang, 39, who was soon to take office as the school's party secretary died from a sudden heart attack. The incident has caused much turmoil in the area.

Mr. Bai Shiju, age 49, was the director and party secretary of the Shiyan City Distribution and Retail Outlet. Since July 20, 1999, he has collaborated with the Shiyan City 610 Office and the police department to escalate the persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners working there. He assigned employees to harass and monitor practitioners for extended periods of time. As a result, practitioner Mr. Wu Weijun suffered a mental breakdown. Mr. Li Banguo, Ms. Cui Xueping and Ms. Shang Junxiu were all taken to the Xiajiadian "Legal Education Center" in Shiyan City for brainwashing. Ms. Shang Junxiu died from as a result of the brutal torture she suffered.

In April 2004, Bai Shiju felt uncomfortable and went to the hospital for a checkup. He was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and died on April 18, 2004.

Mr. Cheng Youming, in his forties, formerly the deputy editor-in-chief of Yingcheng Daily, is the director of the Party History Office of the Yingcheng City Party Committee. He wrote numerous articles in the Yingcheng Daily slandering Falun Dafa, while he was the deputy editor-in-chief at the newspaper. Recently, Cheng was diagnosed with terminal cirrhosis of the liver.

Wang Shaoping, chief of the Guangshui Branch Police Department in Hubei Province loyally followed Jiang's regime in carrying out the persecution against Falun Dafa and its practitioners. He died from pancreatic cancer.
