Opening Speech from the 2005 European Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference

Greetings, fellow practitioners

Our Fa Conference is about discussing, encouraging and elevating righteous thoughts. It is a forum for sharing successful experiences, identifying shortcomings and reinvigorating genuine cultivation while offering salvation to sentient beings.

If Fa rectification period Dafa Disciples are the luckiest and greatest lives created by the Fa, then a Conference of the Fa rectification period Dafa Disciples is the most sacred and greatest gathering in the world. It is a magnificent assembly that is watched attentively by innumerable beings across the universe.

Our Fa Conference is never a formality. It is a precious review point on our busy journey of validating the Fa, allowing us to review our achievements and lessons, elevating our righteous thoughts, and thus helping us to do better in the rest of our journey.

In the Fa Lectures in the past year, Teacher repeatedly described the reasons for the emergence of the Three Realms and Mankind, and the purpose of Dafa disciples. The emergence of the Three Realms and mankind "was by no means intended for mankind just to live, and even less was it for mankind to develop or to make some kind of good life for itself in human society." The Three Realms were constructed "for the purpose of saving the beings in the cosmos." (Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York) "I've said many times that none of the people in today's world have a simple background. If none of them have a simple background, then the people that you save, the lives that you save, the sentient beings that you save are not ordinary beings, and it's not something an ordinary cultivator could do. Only Dafa disciples of today's Fa-rectification period are able to do that as they validate the Fa, only they are worthy of doing that, and only they are allowed to do that." (Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference). In light of the many lectures conveying this message, should we be more clear-minded in seeing through the so-called reality to grasp the truth about ourselves and the human world, and should we more clearly remember our mission? We should!

Our righteous thoughts originate from studying the Fa. Teacher said: "Studying the Fa with attachments is not true cultivation". (Towards Consummation). Only when removing the chaotic thoughts and studying the Fa with pure hearts, could we see the boundless true content of the Fa, melt into the Fa, and be more able to clear away interference and do better in the three things that Dafa disciples do.

Master in his Message to the European Fa Conference Held in Vienna asked us to use the Fa Conference to"review what we've experienced and learned, find where we fall short, draw on what we have achieved, and establish the righteous thoughts of Dafa disciples". Let's therefore make good use of the precious moments of this Fahui to listen with peaceful hearts to the sharings of our fellow practitioners, and genuinely, as Teacher said "review what we've experienced and learned, find where we fall short, draw on what we have achieved, and establish the righteous thoughts of Dafa disciples".
