(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Wenjun, 69, a retiree of Jianshe Industry Group Corp. from Chongqing City, was persecuted to death.

She started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. She had been steadfast in the practice and continuous in her truth clarification about Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang previously had trouble communicating with others, but one day she went to the Xiejiawan Police Station to clarify the truth to the officers there. She disclosed the facts of the Tianamen self-immolation and explained to them the benefits she had received from practicing Falun Gong. The police officers listened to her without any sign of disproval.

Between Summer and Autumn 2004, police from the Xiejiawan Police Station illegally arrested Zhang Wenjun and sent her to the Maojiashan Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jiangbei City for two years of forced labor. Due to high blood pressure, she was sent back home for medical treatment. However, she was persecuted by Li Lisen, Wu Jiuke and other members of the 610 Office in her work unit. Her pension was unreasonably suspended and she was left without any assistance in her difficult situation. She had been monitored closely by the Public Security Bureau. Zhang Wenjun was detained in prison for over a year. She suffered from hunger and cold and had edema before she passed away in August 2005.

Mr. Ma Jianshe was a bicycle repairman who resided on 4^th Street in Xinji City. He fully recovered from diabetes by practicing Falun Gong. When the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, he walked to Beijing to clarify the truth of Falun Gong, and suffered severe beatings and abuse, and was even arrested. His home was also ransacked, and he was forced to pay a fine and put into prison. In 2003, he was arrested again and sent to a brainwashing center. His relatives were used by the Public Security Bureau to force him to give up his practice of Falun Gong. He was jailed for a month, which caused him psychological harm. After returning home, he was harassed and intimidated several times by police officers. He became ill in 2004 and passed away in June 2005.
