(Clearwisdom.net) On March 6, 2005, the police arrested Qi Yaru and her fourteen-year-old son Wang Qi, from Heilongjiang Province, Harbin City, Xiangfang District while they were waiting for a bus. Liushun Police Station policemen Zhou Dianlin and others also searched their home. Qi Yaru was held for forty-five days and sentenced to three years of forced labor. She is now being tortured at the Wanjia forced labor camp. Her fourteen year old son Wang Qi must now care for his three year old sister, who cries for her mother every day, and his eighty-seven year old grandfather who needs help getting around.

In Wang Qi's letter to the local police station chairman, he wrote, "Policemen in the forced labor camp are trying to force my mother to write a "guarantee letter" and join the communist party. My mother was forced to sit on a little seat because she refused to write the "guarantee letter" and join the communist party. They handcuffed my mother and hung her up to torture her with a method called the 'Big Hang Up.' There are two forms of this torture: In the first, with both hands cuffed behind the back and only the toes touching the ground, the victim is hung by a rope that is tied to the metal window frame. In the second, one of the victim's hands is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite directions. The victim feels extreme pain as the body is pulled. Also, they would not let my mother sleep. I don't want to think about it any further..."

The following is the rescue letter that Qi Yaru's son wrote to their local police station chairman.

Greetings, Chairman Wang,

I am Qi Yaru's son. My name is Wang Qi, and I am fourteen years old. I read in the newspaper that the Haerbin City's Police Department Chairman visited the labor camp to meet with everyone and resolve all issues according to the law. I believe Chairman Wang must be an honorable government official who cares about common people and their suffering and will help all citizens. I am very happy that this time my mother has the hope of returning home.

This all began when, on March 6, 2005, my mother took my three-year-old sister and me to my aunt's home for a visit. While waiting for a bus at the Xiangfang District, Caizhi Street bus station, two policemen from the Liushun Police Station took my mother away without having any reason. They also ransacked our home. We did not have anything at our home and my mother was sentenced to three years in prison for no reason. This is how my happy family was torn apart.

Chairman Wang, maybe you have a grandchild my age who you love dearly, and thus your heart must have some sympathy for me. I am a fourteen-year-old child living in a broken home with a three year old sister, and an eighty-seven year old grandfather. Other children watch TV, do their homework and play happily outside. I can do none of these things because I have to take care of my sister, who cries every day for mommy, and my immobile eighty-seven year old grandfather.

Ever since my mother was arrested for no reason, my three-year-old sister has been crying every night for her mommy. When I returned from the market I saw my sister had cried herself to sleep on the floor, her cheeks covered with tears. Then I saw my exhausted father who had to go out and work so hard to support our whole family and my heart shattered. I felt alone and hopeless, and my tears started to fall. I hope my mother can return home soon. My mother practices Falun Gong to improve her health and follows "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" to be a good person. She did not break any law, but was arrested and sentenced to a forced labor camp without reason. Policemen in the forced labor camp tried to force my mother to write a "guarantee letter" and join the communist party. My mother was forced to sit on a little seat because she refused to write the "guarantee letter" and join the communist party. They handcuffed my mother and hung her up to torture her with a method called the 'Big Hang Up,' and they would not let my mother sleep. I don't want to think about it any further. In my memory, aren't policemen suppose to catch the bad guys? Why would they torture good people? In my young heart, I have lost trust in policemen.

Chairman Wang, I have lost faith in you. Your actions have caused our family such great pain both mentally and physically. I don't hate you, because I realize you are the victim of lies. I think you must be a compassionate person and therefore I need to clarify the truth to you and the other policemen and awaken your beclouded good senses.

Ever since my mother started to practice Falun Gong, our relatives all have had good things to say about her. From my mother I can tell that all Falun Gong practitioners are good people. Ever since my mother has respectfully cared for my eighty-seven year old grandfather, our family and neighbors have all acted in harmony. Furthermore, my mother always tells us to be good children and follow 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.' We need to respect elders, care for youngsters and we need to respect teachers at school. Whenever there is an issue, we should think about others first. We should not tell lies, fight or curse and we should not do any harmful deed. I have always been a good child and do what my mother tells me to do.

Both my mother and I had severe hepatitis B, before she started practicing Falun Gong. My mother also had severe heart disease and several other kinds of illnesses and she was unable to do anything. We relied on my father to take care of all family duties. After my mother started to practice Falun Gong, all her illnesses went away and neither of us had hepatitis B any longer. Nobody has suffered from any illness in my family for all these years. It has been said that, 'with one person practicing, the whole family benefits' ("Lecture at the Australia Fa Conference," May 2-3, 1999). Therefore, Falun Gong can make people physically healthy, turn people's heart to compassion and improve morality. It has hundreds of benefits for people and not a single bad thing about it.

Chairman Wang, I am a child who has never told a falsehood and these facts are all from my own experiences. It was my mother's compassionate behavior that touched my young heart and let me learn that Falun Dafa is indeed good!

My sister, father, grandfather and I need my mother. Our family needs our mother. As I am telling these truths, my young heart is crying. Why is it that even though my mother is a good person and did not break any law, she was nevertheless arrested, beaten and tortured, and our family is torn apart? I dare not to think anymore, I am in such deep pain! I want to have a happy childhood so much, but I cannot. I miss my mother so much.

Chairman Wang, I hope you can do what is right and let my innocent mother come home! Your kindness to Falun Dafa practitioners will show great virtue and your life will have a beautiful future. At the same time you will restore the confidence that you have lost from your people and me. I represent my whole family in sincerely thanking you for sending my mother home.
