Mr. Li Qingsong Locked in a Small Cell for Several Months - Family Visits Denied

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Mr. Li Qingsong from Qian'an City, Tangshan Prefecture, Hebei Province, has been locked in a small cell in the Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp, located in Tangshan City, for a long time. Firmly maintaining his faith in Falun Dafa, he went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. His family has been denied visiting privileges for months, and they are very worried about his life.

Mr. Li Qingsong, 35, has been arrested and taken to detention centers or brainwashing centers many times. At the end of August 2004, Mr. Li was arrested again, and subsequently sentenced to one year of forced labor. As he is blind in one eye and unable to see things clearly out of the other, his family made an adamant request for his release. He was released on medical parole. But only two months later, he was taken back to the forced labor camp with the excuse that police had found him creating VCDs and passing out truth clarifying materials.

His term ended in August, but the labor camp authorities claimed that he needed to make up those two months of medical parole.

Mr. Li has never signed his name on a repentance statement. We have heard that he was on a hunger strike around July 20, 2005, together with eight other practitioners, to protest the persecution. He has been locked in a small cell for a long time and denied visits from his family for the past five months. His family is extremely worried about his life.
