(Clearwisdom.net) A deputy mayor said, "Falun Gong is an issue of belief. Those practitioners really believe in Falun Gong. This is not like the situation of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)--nobody believes in it but no one dares to admit this in public. Furthermore, those Falun Gong practitioners are good people. Believe it or not, seems to me they are all better than CCP members."

Another deputy mayor said, "Falun Gong practitioners believe 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' which is very good. If everyone follows 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' and no one fights for fame or personal interest, the society will be much more stable. Right now, no one cares about real criminals, but again and again the focus is on Falun Gong and all the arrests are of Falun Gong practitioners. This is not what National Security Officials should do, nor what the police forces should do. In fact, the ones who should be arrested are the National Security or the police --they are just rogues. The persecution of Falun Gong is doomed to fail--how can someone succeed in persecuting good people?"

The head of department A said, "Mr. Li Hongzhi is really extraordinary. So many people believe him and are loyal to him, really outstanding! He must be a god. Otherwise, how could he look after so many things? Seems to me those who practice Falun Gong are also gods. Otherwise how could they forebear such severe persecution and suffer so much? Sooner or later, the issue of Falun Gong will be redressed. Otherwise, Jiang is finished and the CCP is finished."

The head of department B said, "Jiang is too narrow-minded. Why bother such a group of people? After all, it is better to have some belief than believe in nothing. Look at CCP officials, they believe in nothing and dare to do many bad things. This is in clear contrast to those who follow 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance'. Why do I say this? It is because of the CCP's falsifying, evilness, and combativeness. And right now, of all the CCP officials from the top to bottom, how many do not lie, and how many are truthful and really do good things? Too few! Also people are very bad these days. In order to secure one's own position, one person will hurt others at will, even including hurting someone who has no personal interest in the conflicts. Look at CCP officials, and you will see that the corruption goes public. Whoever is the most corrupt is regarded as the most capable. Plus, the corrupt officials are now younger and younger, and are also highly educated. This is indeed the case in our city!!"

The head of department C said, "One cannot successfully suppress others' beliefs, especially Falun Gong. You see, many who gave up their practice [under pressure] are now starting to practice again, let alone the persistent ones who will continue to practice even if they are jailed for doing so. How can the persecutors handle this? And now, more people are joining the practice. How can you say Falun Gong is not good? Plus, how can you say 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' is not good? If the CCP continues like this, it is over."

The head of department D said, "The last thing we want to deal with is the persecution of Falun Gong. It makes no sense to arrest a group of practitioners. Plus, the situation now is different from past. If it wasn't for orders from above, I think no one would want to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. So many officials and police are involved in this, but whom are we targeting? Why do we do this? If it continues like this, the CCP will be finished soon."
