One Thought Can Have Great Consequences

(Clearwisdom.net) Many people feel indifferent to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and think it has nothing to do with them. However, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" is the law of the universe, including the whole world where human beings exist. How could one say the persecution of "Truthfulness, Compassion Forbearance" has nothing to do with him or her?

The family members of Falun Gong practitioners benefit from the practitioners' cultivation. Many people are blessed for their sympathy toward Falun Gong. Many people who helped the tyrant to do evil have experienced karmic retribution. Many have now changed and stopped taking part in the persecution. Below are some examples from Shandong Province:

Yu Desheng lived in Shandong. He was illegally arrested for clarifying the truth and is in Hengtai Prison. Seven years ago, soon after Mr. Yu started to practice Falun Gong, his 3-year-old son fell from a fifth floor window and landed on a big crockery pot. The child was taken to the hospital to be checked out, and he was not hurt at all. The doctor said, "It is a miracle, unbelievable!"

A privately run bookstore in Shandong Province carries Falun Dafa books. The owner understood the truth about Falun Gong because he knew many practitioners. After the persecution started in 1999, he protected the books in his store. He did not destroy them or give them to the police. He gives them to local Falun Gong practitioners when new practitioners start and the books are therefore scarce. His business is blossoming and prosperous. One day, the mall around his bookstore burned down, but the fire went out at the edge of his bookstore. The bookstore owner said "The Teacher of Falun Gong protects me!"

A safety section head at a machine factory had helped persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Some practitioners advised him not to do that since he would suffer retribution. He said "I won't believe that unless my leg is broken!" One year later, he broke his leg falling down stairs from the third floor. He understood that he had been punished. Since then, he discontinued his involvement with the persecution. Now he tries to offer practitioners some protection.

A similar story happened in Shengli Oil Field of Shandong province. A man was a driver for the 610 Office. When officers went to arrest Falun Gong practitioners, he often drove them. His leg was broken in an accident. He awakened because of this misfortune, and told others "Never arrest Falun Gong practitioners, I was punished by Heaven, please do not commit those crimes!"
