A Practitioner's Daughter Clarifies the Truth

My daughter, who works in a company based outside of China, came home one weekend and told me what her Chinese co-worker told her: there is something coming from China that she needed to pay attention to. Reportedly , if any non-Chinese company's employee sent news related to the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to a Chinese employee, China would stop doing business with that company. So, for the sake of job security, they were told not to do anything related to the Nine Commentaries.

My daughter understood that this was directed toward her, as she talks about and gives the Nine Commentaries to Chinese people on business trips. She said to her co-worker, "Thank you very much for your good intentions, but I know the Nine Commentaries are published by The Epoch Times worldwide. Every person has the right to read it. I read it and think it's really good. It just contains many facts. Good things need to be shared with everyone. I had gotten it, so I passed it on to the Chinese who come here. I do this because of my conscience. If there is a conflict of interest between my job and my conscience, I cannot betray my conscience. I certainly know the situation in China. I use good sense and consider safety when doing this."

My daughter continued, "Take Falun Gong for instance. I don't practice it, but my mother does. I understand Falun Dafa from my mother and other practitioners. So, when I hear about people coming from China who, because they are misled by CCP's propaganda, misunderstand Falun Gong, I will recognize their point of view. I tell them the facts about Falun Gong I see, and tell them that Falun Dafa is great."

Her co-worker then said, "I haven't read Falun Gong's books. I don't understand, so I can't say if it's good or bad." My daughter said, "This is your choice. But if you don't understand it well enough, you won't say it's bad. I appreciate your point of view."

One day a political worker from my company came over for a business talk. I used the opportunity to clarify the truth to her. I told her about the trend of people withdrawing from the CCP and the Nine Commentaries. I urged her to resign from the CCP. At the beginning of the persecution in 1999, this political worker received an order from a superior and urged me to write a guarantee statement to give up practicing. I didn't write it and that was it. After listening to me this time, she willingly accepted the suggestion to withdraw from the CCP. She even mentioned that her father's generation suffered from the wicked CCP's persecution.

She also told me that several days ago she had taken a taxi home. When she was getting close to home she wanted to get out of the cab. The driver said, "We've not reached the destination, why get off halfway?" She said to the driver, "The road ahead is narrow and curved, so it's not easy to get through. I can walk the rest of the way, but I will still pay you the full price." The driver said with a smile, "I didn't take you all the way, but you still pay me the original cost. There aren't many people like you in today's society. You're a good person; you are considerate of me and I am very moved. I don't have anything else to thank you with. I will give you a Falun Dafa truth clarification booklet. Please remember, 'Falun Dafa is Great'." She accepted with pleasure, said goodbye to the driver and went home.
