By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) As the Fa-rectification rapidly advances, saving people becomes more and more urgent. There are still huge numbers of Chinese people who have not quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. We practitioners should work more diligently. As urgent as it is, we still need to consider people's reactions to us. If people we talk to do not accept us, our own sense of urgency does not help.

But as Teacher has told us, "Dafa disciples are now sentient beings' only, sole hope for salvation." ("Righteous Thoughts," October 13, 2002). We cannot wait for the environment to improve by itself. We need to create a good environment. During the past six years, if we had not clarified the truth about Falun Gong to society, people would not have learned the truth about Falun Gong, and it would be even more difficult to ask people to resign from the CCP and its organizations.

In my own experience persuading people, most people accept that Falun Gong is being persecuted, and they know that the CCP is bad. But due to fear and other mentalities, they are afraid of quitting the CCP organizations or have no interest in doing so, making it harder for us. In such cases, my thoughts about how to persuade people to quit from CCP organizations are as follows:

Be Responsible and Have a Sense of Urgency

Our duty is to save sentient beings unconditionally. We need to eliminate the attachments of proving ourselves right or gaining personal fame. Easy or hard, we have to do this. If we have the mentality that our level in cultivation is related to how many people we have saved, then we have an ordinary mindset. No matter how difficult it is, we need to give people enough chances and enough time to think about the issue. But Fa-rectification moves so quickly, so we should have a great sense of urgency.

Do Not Forget to Send Forth Righteous Thoughts

Even among friends, some practitioners are shy or are afraid of being rejected, and they sometimes lessen their efforts. These are attachments that we need to get rid of since our cultivation has merged with Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings. Before speaking about the truth, we can send forth righteous thoughts. We must get rid of attachments and disturbances from the evil. Then, the effect will surely be good. Do not forget teacher's words, "Dafa disciples are now sentient beings' only, sole hope for salvation." ("Righteous Thoughts," October 13, 2002). In any group of people, we are the ones who are fully qualified to speak. If we maintain our xinxing, what we say will definitely be good for people. We use Falun Dafa as our benchmark when speaking, and do what we should do.

Persuade People in an Methodical Way; Repetition Means Success

We do not expect that we will succeed with each one of our efforts the first time. Let people think about the truth for a while. Since time is urgent, we can try to contact them or clarify the facts in other ways. At the same time, we can send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate interference and human attachments. With each effort, if we can help people to understand just a little more, then one day he or she will be able to totally accept us. Hasn't Teacher taught us with great patience and in logical ways?

Be Considerate of People's Capacity to Accept and Do Not Talk at too High a Level

Through years or cultivation, our thoughts have grown far from ordinary people's thoughts. We need to pay attention to people's responses and not say anything that they might not understand. If people do not like what we say, the effects may be negative. Ordinary people like to talk about things they are interested in or that they benefit from. If we show real concern for people, and gradually help them to understand the importance of quitting the CCP, they will not be against the topic. At least they will think about the issue, which in itself is moving in the right direction.

For a family, I will talk to the head of the household first. If he or she understands, we may not need to do anything regarding other family members. So patience and repetition are important. Our words should be based on people's situations. If people do not believe what we say, or they have fears or concerns about their personal benefits, then our words should focus on their concerns.

We should never forget that we came to save people and not to show ourselves off. We should be busy, but in a good state. Then, good results will be there by themselves.
