Ms. Dong Jingya on Hunger Strike for Over Six Months

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dong Jingya from Shenyang City has been on hunger strike in the 1st division of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for more than 6 months. Police Chief Xie Chengdong, and others from the 1st division, said on the telephone (phone number: 89210406) on October 13, "Nobody is allowed to see her. They also claimed that Ms. Dong had been regularly force-fed.

Ms. Dong Jingya was engaged in architectural design work at the Liaoning Province Construction Design Institute. In 1997, she started to practice Falun Gong, and benefited a lot, both in body and mind. She worked diligently and was dedicated to her profession. After the persecution of Falun Gong began, Ms. Dong was compelled to remain homeless for three to four years to avoid persecution. On March 6, 2005, she was illegally arrested by Shenyang Municipal National Security Team and was imprisoned illegally in Masanjia 2nd Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Dong Jingya went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She once had such symptoms as a "reverse-flow" stomach, vomiting, blurry vision, kidney failure, shortage of blood in her cardiac muscle, and so on. In July 2005, because she turned off a tape recorder that was slandering Falun Gong, she was handcuffed to an iron railing, located at the end of a bed, by the Masanjia guards.

Falun Gong practitioner Li Baojie from Panjing City in Liaoning Province was suffocated on the spot on April 7, 2005, while being force-fed with food by the "doctors" and the 1st division guards of Masanjia. Li Baojie passed away on April 8.

Xie Chengdong was one of the primary people responsible for the persecution when Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Gao Rongrong from Shenyang, and Li Baojie from Panjing, were persecuted to death at Shenyang "Medical School" and the 1st division of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp respectively. (At the "medical school," Xie Chengdong was once in charge of negotiating with the family members of these two practitioners. Xie also reported to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, coordinated related issues, etc.)
