By a Dafa practitioner in Hubei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Soon after I obtained Dafa in 1999 the fanatic persecution started. I was illegally detained three times and extorted out of nearly 20,000 yuan in cash for validating Dafa. After I was released, my family sent me to live with my son who was working in another city. I stayed there for two years. I didn't do the three things well during this time. Last year I received Master's articles "My Version of a 'Stick Wake-up'" and "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People." I was jolted, and I felt the pressure of time to rescue sentient beings, and the lack of time. I overcame difficulties and went back to my hometown to do the three things and rescue sentient beings.

The day after I returned home I rode my bike to remote mountain areas and rural districts to deliver truth clarification materials, post flyers and clarify the truth. Sometimes I went more than 30 miles a day, and hunger and darkness were not uncommon. I fell from my bike, and people deceived by government propaganda insulted and attacked me. I didn't mind in the least because I remembered Master's instructions to act with righteous thought and righteous actions. More importantly, guided by Master's Fa principles, Dafa's supernatural and mighty powers manifested through my righteous thoughts and righteous actions, which rescued many sentient beings manipulated by the evil and who were at the brink of destruction. My family at first did not support or understand me, but they also changed. Dafa's power enabled them to change, which greatly moved and encouraged me.

Once, I was on a roadside in a mountain village when the village security person came over to me and asked, "Do you still have any Falun Gong materials? Follow me and I'll help you hand those out." I saw that he had bad intentions so I said, "Dafa saves predestined people. Those who should be saved will certainly get them." Because I refused to follow him, he changed his tune and threatened me, "I'm in charge of controlling Falun Gong here." He took my bike and tried to take me to the police station. I was not afraid. I sent forth righteous thoughts and asked Master to help me. I thought, "This person is being used and deceived by the evil. I must rescue him."

During the stalemate I said, "I won't run away, but first, listen to me!" I held his hand and clarified the truth to him for over 20 minutes. He understood somewhat and said, "Ok, just go." I thought, "I can't just go like this." I continued to clarify the truth about Dafa to him until he completely understood and promised he would no longer persecute Dafa. I was very happy. I remembered,

"If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist. This is not to be self-imposed, but is achieved by truly and calmly letting go of it." ("Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Once I joined a fellow villager's family for a celebration and saw lots of guests. I thought, "Is it safe to clarify the truth to so many people here?" I immediately realized this thought was wrong and it was interference from human notions and the old forces. I should not miss such a wonderful opportunity. First, I sent forth righteous thoughts to cleanse the field. As I was clarifying the truth and handing out flyers, one young man ran up to me and shouted, "How dare you insult Jiang Zemin!" He tried to make me leave but I refused to leave, and he tried to call the police. I continued to send forth righteous thoughts and told him about the suspicious points about Tiananmen Self-immolation Incident. He could not refute those points and realized that I was right. He now realized that Jiang's group had been spreading lies. In the end, all of the guests, including the young man, approached me and took the flyers. I held onto the last few flyers and said, "You guys share those. I have to keep a few for other people."

Master said,

"But you often emphasize the results instead of fully explaining to them the facts that you should explain during that process. Only when all people know the truth that they should know are you really validating the Fa and clarifying the facts." ("Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference")

I had to overcome and rectify perilous situations such as the one I just described about seven times.

Because I still have omissions, I was reported and detained in prison earlier this year after I validated Dafa. My family refused to come and pick me up. The police wanted to sentence me to two years of forced labor. I firmly negated the persecution because I needed to get out and rescue sentient beings. As my righteous thoughts went out I saw a large seal imprinted on a pamphlet, and the place where the seal was instantly changed into a lotus flower. My righteous thoughts were strengthened and several days later I broke free.

My family forcibly sent me to my daughter's home in another city. I thought that I must not be restricted or persecuted this way, because I must rescue sentient beings. About three months later I suddenly had stomach pains that worsened by the day. I vomited pus and blood. My family sent me to a hospital. I was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. My family became agitated and they prepared for my funeral. They also begged the doctor to operate on me and use chemotherapy to prolong my life.

I looked at it from the perspective of Dafa and remembered Master saying,

"If a problem isn't caused by our own attachments or mistakes, then it must be that the evil is interfering or doing bad things." ("Fa-Rectification and Cultivation" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

I firmly negated the illness! At the same time I looked inward and realized that I was smug about the things I had done and had ignored safety. I had not clarified the truth to my family well, and I had signed the release documents when I left the prison. I had xinxing problems. Dafa practitioners don't have illnesses and Master arranges their fate.

When I was feeling better I left home at night to validate Dafa. I seized the time to study the Fa, do the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts. A while later my stomach stopped hurting. When I went back for an examination, the stomach cancer was gone! All of the indications went back to normal. My family and relatives were shocked beyond words. I used this opportunity to clarify the truth to them, so they realized the purity, righteousness and beauty of Dafa.

I remembered what Master said,

"If a cultivator can truly let go of [the fear of] death, then that death will forever be far removed from you. But this isn't something you can will to happen--it's a point that you cultivate to in the Fa, one at which you become that kind of being."
