Leaving Behind Misunderstandings and Catching up With the Progress of Fa-Rectification

(Clearwisdom.net) The older practitioners in my area have contributed greatly to truth clarification activities. Here are some touching stories:

One senior citizen practitioner has been clarifying the truth at a tourist site for four years now. Many tourist groups, especially Chinese ones, have come to understand the truth of Falun Dafa there. This is all despite the fact that this practitioner, like many others, does not understand English well. Their compassion and sincerity have touched countless kind-hearted people.

Another story concerns the time Hu Jintao visited Canada. We planned to reenact torture scenes in front of the Prime Minister's office. Very few practitioners were available to come, and all of them were seniors. They did not have any time to take breaks, because no one was available to replace them. They took turns reenacting different kinds of torture. None of these sixty or seventy-year-olds complained even once. Passersby learned about the truth of the persecution, their consciences awakening. Many lined up, awaiting their turn to sign a righteous petition to the Canadian government.

These practitioners were doing what they were supposed to be doing, saving people all along the way. Their pure states of mind demonstrated the peacefulness and the beauty of their hearts.

Recently, the families of all of these practitioners asked for extra assistance. Their children needed help, or their grandchildren needed to be looked after, or their children simply asked them to stay at home. This disrupted their busy schedule of Dafa activities.

When we shared about the situation, we focused on this challenge: While we need to conform to the state of ordinary society as much as we can, it is also important that we complete our many Fa-rectification activities. However, we didn't know how to break through. I was confused.

Teacher's recent article, "The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be," woke me up. Teacher said,

"You already know that the form of a Dafa disciple's cultivation has one cultivate here, in the world, among ordinary people, and that the cultivation directly targets one's mind. All human attachments and notions that interfere with validating the Fa and saving sentient beings must be removed. For cultivators traveling a divine path, is it really that hard to get rid of those attachments that arise from human thinking and to change those notions? If a cultivator doesn't want to get rid of even those things, well, how is he to show that he's a cultivator? Of course, most disciples who are in this state are that way because, at the beginning, they didn't realize that they had subtle attachments or were being interfered with by their own notions, and so the evil has exploited this gap and magnified those factors. I know that after you become clear on this you will quickly catch up, but you should take fewer detours on this most magnificent, divine path; not leave reason for regret in your futures; and not fall so far behind in terms of levels. That is my hope, your hope, and the hope of the beings who are counting on you."

I enlightened to the fact that the reason so many practitioners had similar situations is that we were trapped in the realm of conforming to the state of ordinary people. We were all worried that if we didn't agree to our families' conditions, we would be accused of not caring about anything. We are afraid that our families would not understand. This attachment and notion was taken advantage of by the evil. Hence we experienced interference in our truth clarification activities.

I now understand that while we strive to conform to the state of ordinary society, we should get rid of hidden notions so we are not trapped by the things we seem to "have" to do. If we can make saving people our top priority, we should be able to harmonize our environment, and the interference will not appear. On the other hand, if we are afraid that others will not understand and that they may say certain things, we will attract interference. Teacher said,

"When Disciples Have Sufficient Righteous Thoughts, Master Has the Almighty Power to Turn the Cosmos Around." (Hong Yin II, provisional translation)

Going back to our example, at critical times Fa-rectification activities should not be interfered with. If we do not have such attachments, these problems should not appear.

Some of the senior practitioners are overcoming the difficulties, and doing diligently what they are supposed to be doing to validate the Fa. Other practitioners are still trapped by their notions, and have not been able to break through yet. I wrote this to share my ideas with fellow practitioners. Please kindly point out anything that is inappropriate.
