More Than One Hundred Falun Gong Practitioners Still Detained in Beijing's Qianjin Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) More than a hundred Falun Gong practitioners from the Beijing area are currently detained illegally in the 1^st, 9^th and 12^th wards of Beijing's Qianjin Prison, which is controlled by the Beijing Prison Management Bureau, Qinghe Division.

Over the last few years, there have been great changes in appearance at the prison. It was re-designed as a so-called garden-style "civilized prison". Many people from around the country come to tour the prison. The visitors are only allowed to see the superficial modifications. Every time such visits or inspections are scheduled, the detainees have to be prepared to play their roles. The prison police tell them how to lie and they confine and hide detained Falun Gong practitioners who refuse to renounce their beliefs. At the same time, the cafeteria improves the food quality to deceive the inspectors.

The visitors are never allowed to see the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners there. Behind the scenes, the persecution continues. Supported by prison guards, prisoners who monitor practitioners and collaborators do whatever they can do to persecute practitioners and even prevent practitioners from using the rest rooms.
