Different Thoughts Bring About Different Results

(Clearwisdom.net) Around June 2005, fellow practitioner A's employer called from the company's retirement office asking Practitioner A to attend a CCP member's meeting. Practitioner A told them immediately, "I quit the CCP a long time ago. I am not going to attend the meeting." Practitioner A smoothly passed this test by making this truthful statement, and no one ever bothered Practitioner A again.

At the end of August 2005, fellow practitioner B's employer also called her to join a meeting of the CCP's nationwide campaign, "Preserving the Advanced Nature of Party Members." Although Practitioner B had withdrawn from the CCP, she was still in doubt about what to do. Practitioner B asked Practitioner C, and Practitioner C told her how Practitioner A had dealt with this matter, reminding her not to waiver at the critical moment.

Practitioner B felt her situation was different from Practitioner A's, but in fact this thinking was caused by her human attachments. Practitioner B thought, "I am going to attend these meetings so I can send forth righteous thoughts during them." Then Practitioner B joined the meetings, received books and notebooks, paid the Party member fee, and cooperated with the evil Party's requirements, failing to treat herself as a cultivator. Several days later, she developed a cough and a fever, and the symptoms have lasted until now. From this, Practitioner B enlightened to the fact that she should not have attended those meetings at all.

Practitioners A and B met with the same problem, the same trial. Practitioner A told them up front that he/she was not associated with the evil Party. But Practitioner B was attached to many things and feared to face this trial; she has not yet openly declared her disassociation from the evil Party. The old forces saw these things clearly and found a gap to persecute her.

Although Practitioner B found her attachments when seeking inward and fellow practitioners have all helped her by sending forth righteous thoughts, she did in fact stumble on her path of cultivation, wasting time, and learning a big lesson.

"...good or evil comes from a person's spontaneous thought, and the thought at that moment can bring about different consequences." (Zhuan Falun, "Fourth Talk, Upgrading Xinxing")." This thought at the critical moment is a result of a cultivator's Fa study, of upgrading xinxing, and of measuring things with the standard of Truth, Benevolence, and Forbearance in long-term cultivation. Such a divine thought at the critical moment comes from cultivating.

Master has always repeatedly asked us to study the "Fa". Studying the Fa well is the most important thing. We cultivate within Falun Dafa, and we have to use the standards of the Fa as our measure everywhere, every time. Our cultivating to upgrade xinxing depends on studying the Fa well, so we must study the Fa well.
