A Young Middle School Student Practitioner's Cultivation Story

(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 when I was just six years old. Every day I would go with my grandmother to the park to practice the exercises and meditate. Because of the persecution, I eventually began to fall behind and even gave up for a short while. Lately I have come to Dafa again. Now I will share my story.

When I attended elementary school, a tractor hit me just after I left school. At the time I didn't know what happened. Later I heard a teacher say that I had been hit and knocked back a few meters. My mother and teacher rushed me to the hospital but found no injuries at all. They only found tire tracks on my white shoes. I owe this to Dafa's protection.

In early October of 2005, I tripped over something at school. This wasn't the first time either, but it hurt more than usual. After school my mother took me to the hospital, where the doctor said there wasn't any problem with my bones, and that it might be a birth defect. The doctor wished to make a deeper investigation. If it was indeed a birth defect then it might even require surgery, which meant inserting a nail into my bone. Although I didn't believe that I had a "defect," I tripped all the time and the doctor's diagnosis made me feel unsure. At this time my mother, grandmother, and my aunt told me that this was Master's reminding me that I should be more diligent. Master said before that He didn't want to leave any practitioner behind. Thus I restarted my cultivation of Dafa. Although I am in my third year of middle school with longer schooldays than before and plenty of homework each night, every day I still read Master's books when I have time and I'm able find an hour to practice the exercises each week.

After I started third grade (of middle school), my grades were continually slipping. After the first-month exams, my class rank dropped to fiftieth. Because I was usually near the top of the class, this event really shook me, and helped me return to Dafa. Afterwards my grades improved quickly. When school started, I was usually ranked around twentieth in mathematics, but after I began to focus on studying the Fa again, my rank rose to second. I know that Dafa is manifesting its divine power through me. However, because I was afraid, I didn't use this opportunity to clarify the truth to my classmates. Next time I will not fail to grasp the chance and let more of my classmates know the truth.

In my second year of middle school I was passed up for selection into a youth league. At the time I felt rather disappointed. However I later read Master's article "Turning the Wheel Again," and realized that I had just escaped a tribulation. When the youth league's secretary selected me for a second group of people to be admitted into the youth league, it took me a lot of effort to talk her into taking my name off of the list. When other students asked me why I didn't join the league, I started making excuses.

Every time others told me they wanted to be in the youth league, I wanted to convince them otherwise, because they were innocent and shouldn't bear the mark of the evil. Currently the youth league is at the point where it has accepted its 5^th or 6^th group of members, and not many people in my grade remain outside the youth league. I began to worry about the league asking me to join again. I was thinking that because I was a Dafa practitioner, I couldn't let the evil get to me no matter what, and I definitely wouldn't' join any organization affiliated with the demons. When the youth league's secretary once again asked me to apply to the league I began to laugh, for back in my first year (of middle school) I had already written an application to join the youth league, and I was wondering how to take back that application. I told the youth league's secretary that I didn't have time for it. This incident proves what Master said in "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful,"

"Actually, every Dafa disciple has abilities. It's just that the abilities do not manifest in the surface dimension, so they think that they don't have supernormal abilities. But regardless of whether they can manifest in the surface dimension or not, when a person's True Thoughts come forth they are very powerful."

My father used to become unhappy when he saw my grandmother and mother practicing the exercises and reading the books. That changed after my aunt began regularly sending him letters. Lately my mother has also given him some articles to read. He is more understanding now, and he was even reading Zhuan Falun one day, saying he still wasn't tired after reading through one chapter. Because Master's lectures about "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance" are all righteous, everyone who reads them understands that Dafa is good. So now my father no longer opposes my mother reading the books or practicing the exercises.

My aunt is now in America and still firm in her belief in Dafa. Because there is no oppression or persecution there, the information and news quite accurately reflect the truth. My aunt spends an hour or two each weekend making phone calls to us, telling us about recent developments and showing her concern with our cultivation. She is a great morale-booster.

I have been able to catch up in my cultivation, however I must further improve the strength of my righteous thoughts and increase my efforts to clarify the truth to my teachers and classmates, for they are innocent beings poisoned by the evil spirit of the CCP.

Although the Fa-Rectification is in its last stage, we should be even more diligent as we come closer to the end. It is just like Master said,

"Actually, if you think about it, the cultivators of the past didn't dare to slack off for even a second, and that was when it took an entire lifetime to complete the journey. So how can Dafa disciples--who are to achieve the Attainment Status of a being who is saved by Dafa and who have the most convenient cultivation way--not be even more diligent when they are given this most glorious honor of Fa-validating cultivation in a brief cultivation period that passes in the blink of an eye?"

"I know that after you become clear on this you will quickly catch up, but you should take fewer detours on this most magnificent, divine path; not leave reason for regret in your futures; and not fall so far behind in terms of levels. That is my hope, your hope, and the hope of the beings who are counting on you."

I shouldn't squander the great compassion Master has shown me, nor should I miss this opportunity of many lifetimes. In these last moments of Fa-Rectification, I will clarify the truth, save sentient beings, further improve myself, and fulfill my predestined vow.

Finally let me share Master's poem "Assimilation" from Hong Yin

Scriptures cultivate one's heart,
Exercises refine one's body;
One day upon Consummation,
Zhen-Shan-Ren stays.
