Many Methods Succeed in Efforts to Save Sentient Beings

Teacher said,

"So during this Fa-rectification Dafa disciples can use at will any method that makes it easier to save sentient beings, so long as it's something the world's people can understand and can thus be saved through. All the same, we have been using things selectively and in a good and upright way." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2005 Manhattan International Fa Conference")

For over six years, practitioners in China have clarified the truth using such methods as distributing pamphlets and CDs, putting up stickers, hanging banners, and talking to people face to face. Practitioners in our area have also been mailing letters to clarify the truth and save sentient beings. Here I'd like to share some of our experiences in this effort.

For several years, certain practitioners in our area have been faithfully mailing letters to clarify the truth. The letters are sent mostly from several major or mid-sized cities, and the envelopes, stamps and return addresses are all from the areas where the letters are sent. Sometimes practitioners write on the envelopes, and other times they print. We usually post several dozen at a time, five to 10 letters per post office. The addressees include relatives, friends, classmates, government officials, business executives, schoolteachers, students, and so on in remote areas. Some practitioners sent their local organization leaders' names and addresses to practitioners in other areas asking them to send the letters. According to the feedback, the arrival rate is relatively high, the recipient's shock is intense, and people are impressed.

For instance, a government official received a letter from a government organization. He opened the letter and found it was truth-clarification material about Falun Dafa. He then read it to his office, told his family about it, and asked around who had mailed it to him. In another instance, when a county CCP school principal heard a practitioner clarifying the truth at a school reunion, he interrupted to say that he had received a letter clarifying the truth of Falun Gong, and then he said something relatively positive.

A practitioner in our area found tens of thousands of local e-mail addresses and sent them to the Minghui (Chinese version of Clearwisdom) website. From then on these local accounts have received information about the truth of Falun Dafa. Some people have thus come to understand the truth. Some have logged onto the Minghui website. One of them repeated the truth to a family member, who repeated the truth including the suspicious points in the "self-immolation" incident to a practitioner she knew. Some people download Dafa truth-clarification, put it on a CD, and share it with their co-workers. Dafa practitioners are one body, and the cooperation between China's practitioners and overseas practitioners has broken through the evil's Internet blockade in China. Clarifying the truth this way is highly efficient and has a better effect.

A practitioner collected local telephone and fax numbers and sent them to the Minghui website. Overseas practitioners then called these numbers and clarified the truth. The effort has covered many of the area's telephone numbers, and some owners have received multiple phone calls. Many people came to understand the truth. This incident has caused a big stir in the area, and frightened the evildoers.

A practitioner in our area downloaded Teacher's lectures into his MP3 player and listened to the Fa while traveling or taking business trips. Inspired by this, other practitioners copied the practice. An MP3 player is small in size but large in capacity. If working with a small speaker, it can be used for both listening to the Fa and practicing the exercises. In the past, when a new practitioner tried to record Teacher's lectures and the exercise music, it took him more than a whole day. Now with an MP3 player, it only takes several minutes. For a 128MB capacity, it costs a little more than 100 yuan, and for a 256MB, it costs a little more than 200 yuan.

Widely spreading the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and the "Three withdrawals" to help the world's people recognize the true nature of the evil CCP and withdraw from it so that they can further understand the truth of Falun Dafa and eventually be saved is an urgent matter. For practitioners in our area, eliminating the CCP culture's residual poison is also something that cannot be ignored. Some practitioners downloaded the recording of the Nine Commentaries, the "Nine Commentaries' Most Frequently Asked Questions," and "The Essential Points of the Nine Commentaries" to their MP3 players from the Sound of Hope Radio Station Website and shared them with fellow practitioners, family members, and friends and asked them to pass it on. It has become one of the fastest and easiest ways to wide spread the Nine Commentaries in our area.

Minghui Weekly is an important place for practitioners to share understandings in cultivation practice. It has played a significant role in assisting Teacher to do Fa-rectification and has established the form for Fa-rectification period practitioners to exchange understandings in writing. In the environment of evil persecution, Fa conferences as well as interactions among practitioners have been affected to varying degrees, but sharing experiences in writing is relatively safer and more feasible and has vitality.

At the end of 2003, we compiled the facts of the persecution against our local practitioners. We enumerated the local authorities' actions as well as the retribution that they met with. Then we printed them and shared them among practitioners to serve as source material for exposing the local evildoers and clarifying the truth. Many people, including practitioners, were shocked by the brutal persecution happening right next to them. For over two years, we have used the form of written experience sharing several times. The Minghui website's notice regarding the second Mainland China Internet Experience Sharing Conference prompted several practitioners to write articles. They first shared them among practitioners, then at practice sites, and finally chose the better ones to submit to the Minghui website. Experience sharing in written form makes it possible to involve practitioners in charge of making truth-clarification materials. These practitioners, who remain relatively secluded and do not often participate in group study and group sharing, are thus also able to participate when the materials are sent to them. It has played a positive role in speeding up the overall improvement in our local area.
