Kaohsiung, Taiwan: Stories from the Touring Photo Exhibition, "Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From November 9 to 15, the "Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa" touring photo exhibition attracted many local citizens to the Kaohsiung Culture Center in Taiwan.

The photo exhibit consists of two parts: the beauty of Falun Dafa and the truth of the persecution. The former documented the spread of Falun Dafa to 78 counties since Master Li's public introduction of Dafa in 1992 in Mainland China; the latter presented photos of the brutal persecution and practitioners' worldwide peaceful appeal and truth-clarifying efforts.

People came and showed interest in Falun Dafa's great popularity. They often found the persecution unacceptable and were impressed by practitioners' uncompromising spirit demonstrated during the persecution. A number of them then developed the wish to practice Falun Gong. During the 7-day event, practitioners witnessed a lot touching stories.

A professor from Kaohsiung Normal University came to the culture center for business. At the beginning, she refused to accept information about the event. After having contemplated the photos, however, she came back to the service podium with red eyes. She asked for some materials and signed her name on a petition in support of efforts to rescue children of practitioners persecuted in China.

"Ambassador of Street Arts" praised the exhibition

Mr. Lin Jinlong came to the center and ran into the photo exhibit. The acclaimed "Kaohsiung Ambassador of Street Arts" highly praised the exhibit and said that he would have volunteered to play guitar for the exhibit if he had one with him.

Thai monks learned to say "Falun Dafa is Good!"

A group of more than 20 Thai monks came to the exhibit. With help from an exhibit guide and their interpreter, they carefully viewed every photo. In the end, they requested many Falun Gong materials, learned to say, "Falun Dafa is Good!" in Chinese and posed for a souvenir photo.

City officials commend Falun Gong spirit

In the afternoon of November 12, the square of the cultural center had a wedding ceremony for a group of new couples. The wedding was sponsored by the city government. After the wedding, Mr. Xu Rentu, director of Civil Affairs, and Council Member Mr. Zhuang Qiwang were invited to the exhibit. When seeing photos of practitioners' worldwide activities, Director Xu said that he had seen practitioners' activities in other countries. Mr. Zhuang also said that he once saw practitioners' exercises demonstration at Kashmir Mountain in India and he admired practitioners' uncompromising spirit.

Old classmates finally decided to practice Falun Gong

Two gentle and kind woman told exhibit guide Wenying that they finally decided to practice Falun Gong. The reporter then found out that these women were classmates of Wenying. Though Wenying had recommended Falun Dafa to them before, they could not accept the practice back then. However, after seeing the photos, they decided to practice Falun Gong as they realized that it is what they have been looking for.

"Where can I buy a Falun Gong instruction video and Zhuan Falun?"

One day, when practitioners were cleaning up the exhibition site, a young fellow came to the site. He said that he had viewed the exhibit and took some materials and a music CD with him the day before. He said that he was deeply moved by the CD. He though it over and truly wanted to learn Falun Gong. He thus came with the question, "Where can I buy the Falun Gong instruction video and Zhuan Falun?"

A group of young men lingered around the exhibition for quite some time. They then came to the service podium to get more truth-clarifying materials. They said, "We have decided to write a report on the photo exhibit."

The exhibit dissolves many questions

A gentleman with a professional video camera viewed the photo exhibit and talked with several guides for a long time. Finally, he got all his long-time questions answered. He then told practitioners, "I wish your peaceful pursuit a success, and I hope that Falun Gong will become legal in China soon."

People come to request truth-clarifying materials

The practitioners said that the free materials ran out every day, and there were even more visitors on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, they extended the exhibit to 9 p.m., as there were so many interested people. After viewing the exhibit and having any lingering questions clarified, people all understood that the persecution was not acceptable. There were also some visitors who were moved by the exhibit and then wanted to practice Falun Gong.

The exhibit received a very good response from the public, and local practitioners will contact more venues to hold similar exhibitions so that more people will have the opportunity to know the truth of Falun Dafa.
