Three Older Practitioners Persecuted to Death in Shandong, Hubei, and Liaoning Provinces

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Jiang Bingren was a 70-year-old retired worker from Nanzhai Village, Nanhao Town, Changle County in Shandong Province. Previous to cultivating Falun Gong, Mr. Jiang had many illnesses that the hospital said were incurable. After he began to cultivate Dafa, his illnesses went away and his health improved.

To validate Dafa, Mr. Jiang went to Beijing to tell people "Falun Dafa is good," but he was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor. Mr. Jiang escaped after two months. On January 29, 2003, he was arrested again and jailed for over 70 days, during which time the authorities forced him to walk along the street to humiliate him. He was made to stand barefoot in the snow for several hours at a time, and was often beaten and deprived of sleep. He was not allowed to go home during the New Year's Day Festival either. Mr. Jiang's health continued to deteriorate after his release due to the extreme persecution he was subjected to, and he died in June 2003.

Mr. Zhang Faming was 64 years old and lived at Laojie in Liuhe Town, Qichun County in Hubei Province. He began to cultivate in Falun Dafa on New Year's Day 1996. The arthritis that had bothered him for over ten years was healed after he began to cultivate, and his physical health became excellent. After the government began to suppress Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Mr. Zhang was arrested. On the night of July 18, 2001, he was taken away and his house was ransacked. That same night, the head of Liuhe Police Station, Luo Zhongsheng, ordered a few policemen to take turns beating and kicking him. They hung him by his handcuffs and interrogated him while they beat him. The next morning his family members went to visit him and found that he was beaten so badly that he could not walk. He had bruises all over his body. Later he was sent to Wuzhuang Jail in Qichun County and was held there for eight months. His body became swollen and weak. He was released in March 2002, after the police had extorted 4,000 yuan from him. Due to the severity of the torture he was badly traumatized. This caused him to develop an acute stomach problem on April 3, 2003, and he passed away on April 10.

Mr. Hou Shicai, was 69 years old and lived in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province. He began to cultivate in December 1997, and all his illnesses went away. By the end of his second year of cultivation, his white beard had turned black, and black hair had emerged from his bald head. His skin disease went away and the skin all over his body became soft and fair. Mr. Hou and other practitioners traveled to Beijing to appeal for Dafa in April 1999. Mr. Hou went to Beijing to tell people the facts about Dafa in October 1999. At that time the Appeals Bureau had closed its doors and refused to let anyone in. Mr. Hou suffered a great deal from the persecution by Jiang's regime and died on January 21, 2001.
