Going to Village Leader's Home to Clarify the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) One day in November last year, I went to the village Party secretary's home to ask him who had abducted Falun Dafa practitioner A. The party secretary said, "It was the local police station's personnel and vehicle. They searched his home and found a bucket of paint and a box of truth clarifying materials."

I told the village party secretary that all the political movements launched by the Chinese Communist Party have been wrong. I mentioned to him about my father once having been classified as a rightist, and about his uncle's being criticized in the past. I said, "Practicing Falun Gong is an issue of religion. Doesn't the constitution state that people have freedom of religion?"

The village party secretary said, "People who practice Falun Gong must have benefited from it. That is why hundreds of thousands of people are practicing it. However, the government doesn't allow people to practice. What can we do about it?"

I said, "You are the head of the village. You need to be flexible about certain things and think more about the people of the village. A man leaves his reputation when passing by but a pagoda leaves only sound." He said, "Yes. Once, when the policemen came to beat Falun Gong practitioners, I criticized them severely."

After that conversation, no one ever tore down the truth-clarifying materials posted on electric poles. It became much easier for Falun Dafa practitioners to do truth clarification work in the area after that.
