A Busy Autumn Day in Mississippi and Alabama (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Early in October, we had a free workshop at the public library in Columbus, Mississippi. One practitioner introduced Falun Dafa to a lady working in the library and she said she wanted to learn it. After the workshop, we donated some materials to the library, including the book Falun Gong, an exercise teaching videotape and a collection of stories about how people got rid of serious diseases after practicing Falun Dafa.

One week later, we received a phone call from the lady, who invited us to hold another workshop in the library. On the phone, she was excited and told us that she had read all the books and this was what she was searching for. After discussing with Alabama practitioners, we decided to add Tuscaloosa City, Alabama to our agenda.

On the morning of October 29, local practitioners and practitioners from Alabama met at the public library in Columbus. During the class, we could clearly feel that the lady respected very much to the principles of "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance". She also introduced Dafa to her two friends according to her own understanding. She was working two jobs so she was very busy and hoped to learn all the exercises quickly.

After the workshop, she offered to pay for our gasoline. We told her that Falun Dafa practitioners always teach the exercise for free. She said it was unimaginable that such a good exercise would be free. We told her that she would do the same in the future.

After lunch, we immediately headed to the next workshop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and arrived at the public library ahead of time. Soon after we set up the workshop, a lady came in a hurry. When she saw the advertisement in the newspaper that morning, she cancelled her plans to watch a football game and decided to attend the workshop. She told herself that she must come to this workshop. When she saw us, she said it felt like seeing her family.

After watching a short introductory video, we decided to teach her the whole set of exercises and then let her do the exercises with us together. She learned the exercises very fast. Later we learned that she was a PE teacher in a local community college and had been teaching senior citizens exercises. She wanted us to come again and teach her students next time. When she was leaving, she held the hands of an older practitioner for a long time. We told her that we would come back when she needed us.

Learning the first exercise

Driving facing the golden sunset of autumn, we headed home. It was a busy day but we all believed it was a rich day.
