The Story of Little Yu Xin
By A Falun Dafa practitioner
(Clearwisdom.net) Yu Xin was born on July 21, 2000. He is fortunate to
have both of his parents as Falun Dafa practitioners. However, like thousands of
other families of Falun Dafa practitioners, Yu Xin's family has been persecuted
ever since he was born. In October 1999 when Yu Xin's mother was just pregnant,
the local township government attempted to force her to have an abortion,
because "as a Falun Dafa practitioner, she must undergo forced
abortion," as the authorities put it. To uphold her belief and to avoid the
persecution and abortion, she was forced to leave her home. Yu Xin's life was
fortunately saved. The persecution against Falun Dafa had lasted one year when Yu Xin was born.
Even in his infancy, Yu Xin was well behaved. When his father played the audio
recording of Master Li's lectures, he quietly listened. He smiled when showed
Master Li's picture. When taught "Hongyin" while he was learning to
speak, he managed to recite it. On April 25, 2001, the township authorities and officers at the local police
station again escalated the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. Some
policemen crossed the brick fence and entered the backyard of Yu Xin's home.
They grabbed the eight-month-old Yu Xin from his mother's arms, and carried away
the baby and his mother. On the way to the municipal building, Yu Xin did not
cry at all. Finally the officers returned him back to his mother when they
entered the building. One after another, persecution and fines forced Yu Xin's father to close his
already slipping business and drove his family to live an even harsher life. Yet
his parents tried to save every penny to print truth-clarification
literature. As a result, unlike other children, little Yu Xin could not enjoy
delicious food or nice-looking clothes. While little Yu Xin often cried for meat
and other practitioners tried to persuade his parents to feed the baby well, the
family could only afford a little meat every few months. On July 20, 2001, Yu Xin's mother finally bought some pork to make dumplings
for Yu Xin. She had hardly finished wrapping the dumplings when the police came
again. To protect her husband, Yu Xin's mother took the child to his grandma's
home. Still Yu Xin's Mom wasn't able to escape abduction by the police. Led by
Li Fuchang and Chang Wangui from the local government, the authorities opened Yu
Xin's grandma's door and illegally arrested Yu Xin's mother. Right
after his first birthday, Little Yu Xin once again lost his mother. Betrayed by an acquaintance, Yu Xin's father was also arrested and taken to a
brainwashing center during the wheat-harvesting season of 2004. With the help of
his fellow practitioners' righteous thoughts and Master Li's protection, Yu
Xin's father managed to walk out of the brainwashing session. The police did not
give up. They waited at Yu Xin's home. Unable to return home, Yu Xin's parents
once again were forced to live a homeless life. Left behind were their elderly
parents and little Yu Xin, who was barely four years old. On September 1, 2005, when Yu Xin went to pre-kindergarten, his teacher
instructed him to buy pencils, notebooks, pencil sharpeners, and a pencil box.
"Shall we buy a pencil box?" When his Mom asked him, Yu Xin said,
"Why shall we buy a pencil box? Can't we just use the one my Auntie used
before? Let's just save the money." Staring at the old and rusty pencil
box, Yu Xin's parents were moved to tears. Witnessing how his parents talked to others about the Nine
Commentaries on the Communist Party and how they persuaded others to
quit their communist party memberships, Yu Xin, too, talked to his little
friends and his teacher about it. In addition, he gave Falun emblems to them. On October 9, 2005, the 610 Office of the county launched another
round of arrests of Falun Dafa practitioners. The authorities planned to fill
the brainwashing class with thirty practitioners. Once again, Yu Xin's parents
were on the list. Fortunately, with some helpers, they managed to walk away.
Again Yu Xin lived only with his grandparents. "Yu Xin, don't you think
your life is too bitter?" asked his mother who came back to see him.
"Not at all. Practice well and follow the Teacher to return home. Only this
way, evil won't get you!" Little Yu Xin responded firmly. Staring at her
child who was evidently much more mature than his peers, Yu Xin's mother was
again moved to tears. Yu Xin has had five birthdays. On just one of the birthdays however, was his
mother able to buy him a small piece of birthday cake with two yuan.
