California, USA: Falun Gong Invited to Participate in Santa Cruz Holiday Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 3, 2005, the California city of Santa Cruz held its annual holiday parade. This year, the organizers invited Falun Gong to participate. Falun Gong practitioners from northern California performed the exercises along the parade route and distributed Dafa truth-clarification materials. The spectators gave them warm applause. Because so many people wanted information, the truth clarification materials were all gone halfway through the parade.

In front of the Falun Dafa contingent were two banners reading, "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance." The practitioners walked alongside and greeted the spectators. Calls of "Happy Holidays" and "Merry Christmas" filled the air with happiness and peace.

One westerner followed a practitioner, asking for Falun Gong introductory materials and asked where to learn the exercises. Many people asked about what kind of exercise system Falun Gong is. Because the English printed materials were all handed out before the end of the parade, some westerners said they would take a Chinese flyer and search for information on the Internet.
