By a Falun Dafa practitioner from Hebei Province

I became a Falun Dafa practitioner in May 1997. During the past nine years, I have experienced Teacher's benevolence and Falun Dafa's miracles.

Before practicing Falun Gong, I often had headaches, and the pain was beyond description. After I started practicing Falun Gong, I truly experienced the joy of being healthy. I used to be a rather difficult person both at work and at home, and nobody dared to cause trouble for me. One time, someone hit me inadvertently, and I asked her to apologize. When she refused, I slapped her on her face. After I started practicing Falun Gong, I understood how to treat others kindly by following Teacher's words.

On a different occasion, in a shopping mall, when browsing a vendor's merchandise, the merchant cursed at me because I did not buy anything. When my younger sister saw that, she was about to fight with him. At that moment, Teacher's words came to my mind,

"As a practitioner, the first thing you should be able to do is to not fight back when you are beaten or sworn at--you must be tolerant. Otherwise, what kind of practitioner will you be?" (Zhuan Falun)

I pulled my younger sister aside, and avoided the confrontation. Bystanders thought that I was going to fight with that merchant myself, but unexpectedly, I came up to him and told him in a calm voice: "You only swore at me today. Even if you hit me, I wouldn't fight back." Those bystanders looked at the merchant and laughed, and they said to him, "Looks like you have run into a 'master' today!"

Another time, a new practitioner went with my daughter and me to a nearby village to distribute truth-clarification materials. While sending forth righteous thoughts, one of my attachments popped up without my noticing it. I thought that we were going to a place where I used to live and hand out materials to my old neighbors, and nobody would have guessed that I was a great Dafa practitioner! With such a strong showing off mentality, I went all the way to the far end of the village. I skipped many houses, passing them by because I wanted to find the street where I used to live.

As soon as we finished handing out truth-clarification materials and were heading out, a motorcycle came up behind us, and I lost all my righteous thoughts. I said to myself, "Is this motorcycle coming for us?" When the motorcycle headed towards another road, I said to myself again, "Does he wants to get ahead of us using another road in order to see who we are?" Sure enough, this motorcycle went to the main road, then turned around, headed towards us, and passed right by us. I was reciting Teacher's Fa rectification formulas at that time, and I did not recognize my strong attachment

On the afternoon of the following day, my daughter came home from school, and told me that her aunt knew that we went out and passed out truth-clarification materials. I was shocked. Actually the person we ran into last night happened to be my aunt's coworker, and it was he who told her aunt about what we did last night. Nothing happens without a reason. At that time, I started looking inside to find where I fell short. I realized that everything changed according to my mind. Master said at Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A., "As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts." When thinking about this, I could not help feeling scared, if it were not for Teacher's benevolence and care, last night when I went out with such a strong attachment to distribute truth-clarification materials, I cannot imagine the trouble I might have run into.

Thinking about Teacher's Fa, I realized my shortcomings. Teacher said in Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston,

"The best way to deal with this situation is for Dafa disciples to walk their paths righteously, to try their best not to let the evil or the old forces take advantage of their gaps, and to solidify their righteous thoughts. The old forces don't dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things."

I kept that lesson in mind. Afterwards, when I handed out truth-clarification materials, I felt Teacher's benevolence and Dafa's mighty power again. That night, before I went out, I sent forth righteous thoughts, and I sent forth righteous thoughts while on my way. Then I turned into a building. When I heard someone opening the door on the second floor and about to come out, I had no attachments but only strong righteous thoughts. I thought, "I will not allow any evil to prevent me from validating the Fa and saving sentient beings. As a result, instead of coming downstairs, he went upstairs. He was ahead of me walking all the way to the top and then entered an apartment, so that I managed to distribute materials from the top all the way down with success.

Once, when passing out flyers, I turned into a building and walked up to the second floor. Immediately I saw two people entering the building after me. I stood there and started to send forth righteous thoughts to stop them from going upstairs, so I could hand out flyers to the tenants in this building. They stopped at the turn of the first floor, as if they remembered something all of a sudden. Then they started talking to each other. I thought maybe they forgot to put their bicycles into their sheds. As they walked towards the entrance of the building, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts to prevent them from coming back after putting away their bicycles. As a result, I heard them talking about something beside the entrance of the building, and their voices became weaker and weaker. Apparently, they were leaving the building, and I was very excited. I again felt the miracle of Dafa and the power of righteous thoughts. Teacher was by my side!

For the past nine years, I have felt at every moment that Teacher's benevolence and Dafa's miracles are something beyond description in human language! My fellow practitioners and I are from an isolated small town in Bohai City. We will remember Teacher's words and follow the Fa diligently. We will apply Teacher's Fa to our every word and action. We will keep our hearts and souls in the Fa, and not let Teacher's benevolence and expectation of saving sentiment beings down. We will accomplish our sacred responsibilities for being Fa-rectification Dafa disciples, follow Teacher's Fa-rectification process, and walk our path well with Dafa practitioners all over the world.
