Neighbors Call for the Release of Mr. Tang Jianguo from Hanyang District, Wuhan City

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Tang Jianguo, an elderly gentleman from the Hanyang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, was arrested by District State Security Agents because he was passing out copies of the book, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to persuade people to quit the CCP. His son was also arrested, and no one knows his whereabouts. Their neighbors have all gone to the local police station to request his release.

Mr. Tang Jianguo is in his 60s and lives by Lianhua Lake in the Hanyang District, Wuhan City. The Jianqiao Station police in the Hanyang District put him under surveillance. Mr. Tang used to be a CCP cadre. He awakened after reading the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and felt that he had been deceived all his life. On November 24, 2005, he was persuading his old colleagues to learn the truth, when State Security Agents arrested him. His son, Xiong Chao, was also arrested. Police refused to let his family know where they detained Mr. Xiong Chao.

Under these circumstances, his colleagues and neighbors went to the local police station, group after group, requesting that they "release Mr. Tang and his son unconditionally." They said, "Mr. Tang is a good person, Falun Gong is good, and we all believe in Falun Gong. We will all practice Falun Gong in the future. Detaining them is making a mistake."

The police asked them, "Who are you?" They answered unanimously, "We are neighbors!" Many of Mr. Tang's neighbors and colleagues have viewed the VCD of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, have learned about the evil nature of the CCP, and know that it is doomed to end.

Policemen from Jianqiao Station called Mr. Tang's daughter, Tang Li, and tried to deceive her into telling them where Mr. Tang received the materials. Ms. Tang Li absolutely refused, "Don't even think that I would help you "transform" my father!" The police threatened her, "Your younger brother is still in college, and his studies are important for his future. You'd better find a way to bail him out." Ms. Tang Li stated solemnly, "What standard do you use to measure one's future? I think Falun Gong has the best future!"

We appeal to everyone with a sense of justice to help rescue Mr. Tang Jianguo and his son Xiong Chao, and to protect his family.
