Five Falun Dafa Practitioners Died of Persecution in Sichuan and Jilin Provinces

Mr. Zhong Youli, 66, was a farmer living in the third Section, Second Village, Renli Township, Suining City, Sichuan Province. He began practicing cultivation in Falun Dafa in 1996. On July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime started its large-scale persecution of Falun Gong, the police went to his home and harassed him numerous times. His old illness relapsed and he passed away in April 2000.

Mr. Liu Hejun, 73, was a retired teacher from Suining City, Sichuan Province. Mr. Liu began Dafa cultivation in August 1996. Less than one month after starting to practice Falun Dafa all of his illnesses disappeared. Mr. Liu went to Beijing in December 2000 to appeal for Dafa and was detained for one month. Later, some vicious party members continuously went to his home to harass him and suspended his pension for several months. Mr. Liu passed away in the winter of 2002.

Mr. Gong Dafu, Sixty some years old, was from the Eighth Team, Second Brigade, Baosheng Township, Suining City, Sichuan Province. He began Dafa cultivation in the spring of 1997. Prior to his Dafa cultivation, he had taken medicine for a long period of time and had a severe coughing problem. After he began Dafa cultivation, he stopped taking medicine and his coughing disappeared. His daughter-in-law also learned Falun Dafa. His family lived in harmony and enjoyed both mental and physical health. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began, Mr. Gong and his daughter-in-law were harassed numerous times and the local authorities ransacked and pillaged their household. Unable to bear the stress under the persecution, Mr. Gong passed away.

Ms. Lai Junfang, 43, was from the Eighth Team, Second Brigade, Baosheng Township, Suining City, Sichuan Province. Through studying the Fa and doing the exercises after she began Dafa cultivation, her body was purified and her several illnesses disappeared. After the persecution of Dafa, she and her husband suffered severe persecution. Under long-term pressure of being persecuted, Ms. Lai passed away in April 2003.

Mr. Li Shiwen, 29, lived in Xi Street, Jishu Township, Shulan City, Jilin Province. He began Dafa cultivation in 1999. He was persecuted numerous times since July 20, 1999. Once he was shocked with electric batons so badly that he was unable to talk. In March 2002, he suffered a heart attack and passed away.
