Clarifying the Truth to People with Different Mindsets

(Clearwisdom.net) This October was the second year we went to the Taiwan Religion Expo to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. I still remember the two opposing opinions we had the first year, with regard to whether we should attend this kind of event. Practitioners who held objections believed that we should not give people the wrong idea of who we are through our presence at the expo. On the other hand, those in favor of our attendance believed that although Falun Gong is not a religion, we should provide people with the opportunity to learn the real situation of Falun Dafa, since many predestined people have gotten lost in the formalities of religions.
So, last year when we participated in the event, we set up an anti-torture exhibit at our booth to inform the public about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). We also demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises on the stage near the entrance. With the addition of our waist drum and dance performances, we showed the people the wonders of Falun Dafa.
This year we set up a photo exhibit of Falun Gong practitioners validating the Fa. Through the display of these dozens of pictures, people clearly saw that practitioners around the world have been utilizing all their capabilities and have overcome great obstacles to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Some visitors told us that among all the booths at the Religion Expo, ours was very different. It brought about a peaceful and unique feeling.
However, there were some people who had only heard about the persecution and knew almost nothing about how great Falun Gong is. The CCP has had a bad influence on some people. The most frequently asked question was, "If Falun Gong is that great, then why the persecution in Mainland China?"
In the past I usually told them that the reason was because "Jiang Zemin and the CCP thought that there were just too many people practicing Falun Gong in Mainland China" before the persecution began in 1999. But now, after reading the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party at the beginning of this year, I add one more point when clarifying the truth: Falun Gong teaches the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, yet the CCP indoctrinates peoples' minds with lies, hatred and class struggle - hence the persecution.
On the last day of the expo, I suddenly realized that as a Dafa disciple I should take the initiative to help people know the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. So I decided to go to a Buddhist booth to collect signatures to help rescue the orphans who are victims of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Regardless of what I said, however, the nun at the booth kept repeating that she knew about the persecution and she believed that it was because Falun Gong was involved in politics. She simply didn't want to listen to what I had to say. Later, she mentioned that she had stayed in Mainland China for a period of time.
I then realized that it was the elements of the Communist evil specter in her mind that prevented her from listening to the truth about Falun Gong. Thus, while sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all evil factors of the CCP in other dimensions that controlled her, I asked her if she had heard about The Epoch Times newspaper. She pointed to a copy on a nearby table and said that someone had given her one. I then told her that last year, The Epoch Times published an editorial series called the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party," which was now widely disseminated both inside and outside of China. As a result, a huge wave of Chinese people have renounced the CCP and its related organizations. After I told her about the Nine Commentaries, the nun's attitude changed notably and she started to accept the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong.
Master has told us in the article, "Turning the Wheel Towards the Human World," "...It is the CCP itself that chose to make Dafa its enemy. From the moment it proclaimed that it must defeat Falun Gong, the evil spirit of the CCP and the CCP's wicked, base group that has been persecuting Dafa disciples in the human world were condemned to death by all of the cosmos's gods." Master also told us in "Teaching the Fa in the City of Chicago," "It is for the purpose of saving all beings and saving the people in the world today that we help people to see the wicked CCP for what it is. Of course, no matter how the CCP tries to hide the evil face of its wicked gangster regime, once the world's people come to know it for what it is, they will realize that it is evil, and they will not cooperate with it anymore, choosing instead to withdraw from the Party. And that is when it ceases to exist. But that is not what we are trying to do--our goal is to save sentient beings." Although they live in a free country or area like Taiwan or other democratic nations, some people who have close ties with China might still have their minds poisoned by the evil spirit of the CCP and are thus unaware of its true nature. They might be afraid of the CCP or simply go along with it. So these sentient beings need to be shown a way out of their dilemma by learning the facts outlined in the Nine Commentaries.
