Overcoming Difficult Tribulations with Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Deeds

(Clearwisdom.net) There have been many instances of local Dafa practitioners overcoming difficult tests and tribulations. The following are a few that I would like to share with fellow practitioners. Let us all study the Fa well, do the three things even better, and improve as a whole body.

Fellow practitioner A was illegally arrested in 2001 and illegally imprisoned in the local county detention center. She refused to submit to any of the evil's demands and went on hunger strikes while doing the exercises and clarifying the truth. One morning, a policeman tried to make her write the guarantee statement. She refused to write anything and the policemen tried to forcibly coerce her. She lifted up the pen and wrote down Master's poem, "True Nature Revealed,"

Steadfastly cultivate Dafa, the will unflinching
The raising of levels is what's fundamental
In the face of tests one's true nature is revealed
Achieve Consummation, becoming a Buddha, Dao or God

The policeman could not understand what she wrote, so he held up the paper and asked her, "What did you write?" Practitioner A read each sentence loudly and clearly to him and several policemen who were outside rushed in to see what was going on. The policeman was enraged and told her, "If you are so stubborn, I will have to shock you with electric batons and send you to solitary confinement!" A was not afraid of them at all, and was sent home that afternoon.

Fellow practitioner B was forced by several policeman to attend brainwashing sessions in the town government building in 2002. Many pictures defaming Dafa were put up on the walls by hired thugs, government officials and policemen alike. All of the practitioners were forced to look at them, but practitioner B sat down and refused to lift up her head to look at the pictures. When the policeman asked her why she refused to stand up to look at them, B replied, without any fear, that, "All those are made up lies, they are all evil!" The policeman continued, "Then, what is right?" B replied again, "We (Dafa practitioners) are righteous!" Soon after, the policeman packed up all the pictures without another word and left.

Another practitioner, C, went to appeal to county government officials about Falun Dafa. The head of the 610 Office received her and told her, "You are all good people, feel free to come and give feedback on anything you wish in the future." However, after the talk, he went to find the practitioner's workplace supervisor to investigate the issue. Placed under pressure, the supervisor summoned C and said, "You have to make yourself clear on this issue today. If you do not make it clear, we will not let you go home." The supervisor even threatened to stop paying C in order to stop him from practicing Falun Gong. C thought of Master's words and replied solemnly, "There is no fault in appealing to the county leader. I am against your deducting my salary. If Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members are not allowed to practice Falun Gong, then I will quit the party, and cultivate in Dafa no matter what happens." This reply caused everyone to be speechless, and C was released to go home without having to write anything or losing a penny of his salary.

Master has told us in "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference,"

"If upon encountering trying circumstances your thinking can be truly righteous, then, when faced with the evil's persecution and when faced with interference, just one sentence of yours fortified with steadfast righteous thoughts can instantly make the evil disintegrate (applause), and it will make those who are being used by the evil turn and flee, it will make the evil's persecution of you dissolve, and it will make the evil's interfering with you disappear without a trace."

In order to be able to conduct oneself with righteous thoughts and righteous deeds, we need to study the Fa more and study the Fa with more peaceful minds. Let us all review Master's Fa,

"No matter how difficult your environment is, no matter how busy you get, you cannot forget to study the Fa. You must study the Fa, because it is the absolute, most fundamental guarantee of your improvement." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.")
