Practitioners Resist the Persecution in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Two Stories about Practitioner Ms. Wang Shuyan

In May 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Shuyan, who was illegally imprisoned in the First Brigade at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, was taken to the "training building" to be "transformed". At that time, she was on a hunger strike and her body was very weak. The guards worked on her and meanwhile, often gave her some leftover food. Several days later, her body gradually got stronger. One day, the supervisor, Su Jing, came to ask Ms. Wang to give up her belief, which she refused. Su Jing became very angry and kicked Ms. Wang. Wang Shuyan told Su: "Tear down your hypocritical facade, all those methods you tried on me do not work!" Hearing these words, Su Jing was dumbfounded and embarrassed.

Toward the end of November 2004, a heavy snow caused branches to break off from many of the trees surrounding the labor camp, resulting in a power failure for over ten hours. That evening, Ms. Wang Shuyan and several other practitioners from different brigades who were also isolated in the so-called "Education Office," immediately sent forth righteous thoughts. When Wang Xiaofeng, the brigade head saw what Ms. Wang was doing, he ordered the criminal inmates who were in charge of watching the practitioners to hold down Ms. Wang's hand [when sending righteous thoughts, practitioners hold the right hand vertically in front of the chest]. His order, however, was ignored.

After running out of methods to stop Ms. Wang from sending forth righteous thoughts, Wang Xiaofeng finally said, "OK, OK, Wang Shuyan, you just send forth righteous thoughts here, and you don't have to go back to your cell to sleep." So Ms. Wang Shuyan sent forth righteous thoughts for an hour in the "Education Office" undisturbed. Later, she continually sent forth righteous thoughts and clarified the truth about Falun Gong. When the guards took her to the bathroom, she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!"

A guard found a cloth used for polishing shoes and stuffed it into Ms. Wang's mouth, but this still couldn't stop her from saying that Falun Dafa is good. The guards then tried to distract Ms. Wang by tickling her underarms. They also dug at her eyes with their fingers and bent Ms. Wang's hands. Finally, they used a wide yellow tape to tape her mouth closed, wrapping it around her head several times. Even then, Ms. Wang still continuously sent forth righteous thoughts.

Teacher Teaching the Fa and the Exercise Music Appear on a Labor Camp Television

On the last day of the year, the labor camp played videotapes that slandered Falun Dafa, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. It was close to lunchtime when the tape finished playing, and the guard who was in charge had left the room. Later, the television started to show Teacher teaching the Fa, which lasted for over ten minutes. Every practitioner who firmly believed in Falun Dada was moved to tears. After Teacher's brief Fa-lecture, the Falun Gong exercise music started to play as well.
