Ms. Zou Siying from Jinxian County, Jiangxi Province Died from Persecution in 2003; Her Daughter Presently Held in Custody

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zou Siying was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jinxian County. Not long after she was released on medical parole from a forced labor camp, she died as a result of persecution in 2003. Her daughter Wu Chunling was sent twice to a forced labor camp. On December 18, 2004, Ms. Wu was again taken into custody at the Jinxian County Detention Center.

Ms. Zou Siying was around 60 years old. From July 1999 to May 2000, she was detained at the Jinxian County Detention Center three times. Her daughter, Wu Chunling, 35 years old, suffered from both severe gallbladder illness and early stages of blood vessel cancer. Before practicing Falun Gong, her ill health only allowed her to eat foods made from flour and no medical treatment was available for her. After she started practicing Falun Gong, her health was completely restored. In January 2000, Ms. Wu went to Beijing to present the facts of her experiences practicing Falun Dafa to the central government. As a result, she was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp. As she remained steadfast in her belief in Falun Dafa, her term was extended for another year.

In August 2000, Ms. Zou Siying, Zou Liumei and two other practitioners went on a hunger strike in the county detention center, protesting their unlawful custody. As a result Zou Liumei lost consciousness and Zou Siying was in critical condition.

Ms. Zou Siying was subsequently sentenced to three more years of forced labor. She developed extremely high blood pressure as a result of the abuse endured at the labor camp. She was released on so-called "medical parole." Within months of her returning home, she passed away from persecution. More details are still under investigation.

On December 18, 2004, Ms. Zou's daughter, Wu Chunling, was turned in to the police by Fu Renyi, a villager from Jianliang Village, Lidu Town. Officers from the local police station ransacked her home and took her into custody at the county detention center. Ms. Wu was sentenced twice to forced labor between 2002 and 2004.

Lawless officials at the Lidu Town Police Station in Jinxian County have persecuted several Falun Dafa practitioners over the past five years, extorting cash and other valuables from practitioners' families.
