Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Gao Yunhu from Inner-Mongolia Autonomous Region Dies as a Result of Persecution

Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Gao Yunhu, from Wongniute Banner, Chifeng City, Inner-Mongolia Autonomous Region, was sentenced to three years at forced labor. He was later bailed out on a medical parole due to the effects of severe torture. The local 610 Office and police continued to harass him at home. He died on February 1, 2005.

Mr. Gao Yunhu was 63 years old, and lived in Wudan Town, Wongniute Banner, Chifeng City, Inner-Mongolia Autonomous Region. After cultivating Falun Dafa, his pyelonephritis (kidney infection), acute myocardial infarction (blocked heart arteries), and high blood pressure were all cured. He was sentenced to three years at forced labor after going to Beijing to appeal in June 2000, and sent to the Tumuji Labor Camp. His old conditions returned while inside the camp. His pyelonephritis turned to parenchymal renal failure, and further to uremia; his acute myocardial infarction became worse than before, and he suffered from brain atrophy. He was bailed out on a medical parole, but the local 610 Office and police kept harassing him at home during this period.

On October 1, 2004, his daughter was arrested while passing out truth clarifying materials. The local police decided to closely monitor his home, causing him great stress, and he died on February 1, 2005.

Between June and July of 2000, former Party Deputy Secretary Zhang Junchang (male), of Wongniute Banner, and Police Station Director Niu Jianmin (male), vigorously followed Jiang's secret order to "ruin their reputations, bankrupt them financially, destroy them physically," by conducting a full sweep in Wongniute Banner. Most mass arrests were done to prevent Falun Dafa practitioners from going to Beijing to appeal, but it didn't make any difference, since anyone, including those who they thought might go to Beijing, or family members of Falun Dafa practitioners who openly expressed the goodness of Falun Dafa, would be taken to detention centers or a brainwashing class held in Beidamiao. They arrested more than 130 people within one month, sentenced more than 30 to forced labor or prison, and detained some for more than one year.
