Falun Dafa Cultivation Practice Has Helped Me Attain a New Life

My name is Li Lanying and I am a 65-year-old woman from Qinhuangdao City in Hebei Province. A few years ago when many people were learning to practice Falun Dafa, a relative told me the benefits of the practice and suggested that I practice too. At the time I thought that Falun Dafa was too mysterious and unbelievable. I did not believe in Falun Dafa at all, and had no desire to give up my attachments to fame, material benefits and sentiment, or consider others first at all times.

In November 2003, I became very ill. I coughed frequently and my chest was quite painful. Soon I began coughing up large amounts of blood. My physical condition worsened day by day and in the end, I couldn't even get up. While hospitalized, doctors diagnosed me with terminal lung cancer and told my family that I would live only a few more days. They were told to take me home and prepare whatever foods that I liked to eat.

About that time a practitioner introduced Falun Dafa to me and asked me to repeat the words "Falun Dafa is good." The practitioner also told me to not think about my illness and to cultivate according to the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." I read Zhuan Falun, listened to the tapes of the Teacher's lectures and practiced Falun Dafa exercises. Six months later, in July 2004, I no longer coughed or spit up blood and my chest pain went away. I didn't feel sick at all and my body became very strong. In November, 2004, I was persuaded by family members to return to the hospital for a checkup. The examination results showed that my lungs were totally normal and I had no evidence of disease. Doctors who knew my medical history were amazed and asked me what method I had used to cure my illness. They wondered how I could totally recover. I told them it was Falun Dafa that saved me and gave me a new life.

Now I more diligently practice cultivation and clarify the facts about Falun Dafa. I let more people know about my experiences and tell them that "Falun Dafa is good."

The Miracles that I Experienced from Practicing Falun Dafa

I am a 74-year-old woman living in Jilin Province. I was ill with a chronic cough for more than three years when in August 2004, my physical health rapidly deteriorated. Western medical doctors diagnosed me with terminal lung cancer. It didn't matter how much medicine I took or how many injections I had, my health didn't improve at all. Doctors of Chinese medicine also diagnosed an incurable condition through pulse readings and told my children to prepare for my death.

Under these circumstances, I accepted the doctors' recommendation to receive radiation treatment. Some fellow patients had side effects from radiation treatment and experienced severe nausea, vomiting and pain, which were very hard to endure. My side effects from the treatment were very mild and I realized Teacher was still taking care of me. Although I continuously practiced cultivation in Falun Dafa, I never removed my attachment to illness, so therefore my illness became worse and I agreed to conventional cancer treatment. Realizing I was wrong, I became determined to give up my attachment to the illness and firmly study Dafa, practice the exercises and clarify the truth. As I did this, miracles started happening.

One night as I slept, I felt thick fluid oozing from my breast and I turned on the light to see. I found that thick yellow fluid had leaked out from the tumor in my breast.

Twenty days later, again during sleep, I was aware that I could not control a movement of air which arose from my lungs and rushed out of my mouth. The next morning when I awoke, the burning throat and back pain were gone. I knew that once again Teacher had adjusted my body.

After that, I had another experience. For two days, I noticed a red colored substance left on the towel when I dried my face after washing. I did not know what it was, but I believed that it was a good thing indeed.

In December 2004, I was fully recovered. Previously, I could not walk in a totally upright posture. Now I can carry bags of groceries from the market to my home on the third floor, cook my food, and still I am not tired.

Everywhere I go I tell people how Falun Dafa saved me and that Teacher gave me a second life. My relatives and friends who saw what happened to me all enthusiastically praise the mysterious power of Falun Dafa. I must continue now to do my best in the three things that Falun Dafa practitioners should do and help more people know how wonderful Falun Dafa is.
