California: San Diego Practitioners Invited to Introduce Falun Dafa at a Women's Club in Imperial County (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday, February 19, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in San Diego, California were invited by the Women's Club in Calexico, Imperial County to introduce Falun Gong at their monthly meeting.

Practitioners have a special feeling for Imperial County. Last summer, the practitioners came to the neighborhood of Calexico, El Centro to receive the mayor's proclamation to Falun Dafa, celebrate Falun Dafa Week in Imperial County and teach the exercises at the library, and bring the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa to the local people. One of the persons who invited us this time was the former chairperson of the Women's Club. She had attended two exercise classes, and she hoped to take this opportunity to find more predestined people and set up a local practice site.

At noon, four practitioners drove over two hours to come to this quiet small city, located east of San Diego. They were warmly received by the Women's Club. The club was established in 1908, and it will soon welcome its centennial celebration. Over the past century, members of the Women's Club have followed the principle of serving their community, and they have held many activities of common interest with very positive effects.

The last item on the meeting agenda was the practitioners' introduction of Falun Gong. The practitioners played a short video that introduced Falun Gong, and then demonstrated the exercises. Members who attended the meeting listened to the beautiful music and attentively watched the practitioners' graceful exercise demonstration. In the end, most of the people wanted to learn the exercises. Practitioners taught them the five sets of exercises. The current chairperson of the club said that she could hear gentle popping in her joints while doing the exercises. She felt quite good. Many people expressed that they felt very strong energy flowing inside their bodies. Several people left their contact information and expressed their wish to practice the exercises together with practitioners. The practitioners answered their questions, and expressed that they would come back to hold a free exercise instruction class if desired.
