An Elderly County Party Secretary in a Beijing Suburb Starts to Practice Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) An elderly man who was a County Party Secretary in a suburb of Beijing used to frequently say, "All Falun Gong practitioners are good people." He came to this understanding as a result of witnessing the mighty power of Falun Gong through his neighbor, Falun Gong practitioner Lao Zhu.

Lao Zhu, a gentleman over 70 years old, had been hit by a car on three occasions, but each time he was not hurt. A most remarkable occurrence took place in May 2004, while he was riding a tricycle: a car hit Mr. Lao and threw him several meters in the air. He came down hard on the ground. His tricycle was damaged and the wheels were flung over 30 meters away (approximately 110 feet). All the people at the accident scene thought that Mr. Lao must have died; so they were all astonished when Lao Zhu slowly got up from the ground. The driver of the car was very frightened and wanted to rush Lao Zhu to the hospital, but Lao Zhu said it was not necessary. The driver, however, insisted that Mr. Lao get a physical examination. In the end, Lao Zhu had to go to the hospital. As Mr. Lao expected, the medical assessment showed that he was fine. The driver said, "Grandpa [a respectful way to address an elderly person in China], please feel free to tell me whatever you want by way of compensation." Lao Zhu neither mentioned anything about compensation, nor did he ask the driver to pay for the damaged tricycle.

Many people knew that Lao Zhu practiced Falun Gong, and they all said that the driver was very lucky. If he had hit someone instead of Lao Zhu, he would for sure have had to pay a fortune!

When the elderly Party secretary came to visit Lao Zhu, he insisted that Mr. Lao teach him the Falun Gong exercises and he even said that he wanted to read Zhuan Falun. Seeing that the Party secretary was sincere, Lao Zhu gave him the Dafa books and clarified the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution to him.

Over the course of several visits, the Party secretary told how he enjoyed reading Zhuan Falun more and more and was more eager to practice the exercises. One day late last year, the Party secretary broke his arm in an accident, but recovered in less than a month. Since then, his belief in Falun Gong has become more firm, and he tells everyone he meets about the divine power of Falun Gong.
