(Clearwisdom.net) After reading Master's new article, "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People," I let go of many human attachments. I have since been clarifying the truth to people in a rational manner, according to Master's teachings. In that article, Master stated,

I had earned an undergraduate degree through self-study, but because I practiced Falun Gong, the head of the factory where I worked dismissed me. Since then I have made my living as a barber in the rural areas, going to work in the countryside every day. I clarify the truth while I work. Before I arrive at a village, I first send forth righteous thoughts to clear away any evil elements in other dimensions. When I arrive, I often go to the local grocery store to cut people's hair. Villagers all love to go to the grocery store to socialize.

Clarifying the truth is also a cultivation process. Sometimes people say terrible things about Dafa. I don't stop them, but I do send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors behind them. After the evil factors are eliminated, I start to tell them the truth about Falun Dafa. The majority of people then gain a good understanding of Dafa. In such circumstances, we should take care not to be affected by their words. If their words influence us, it is easy for us to get into a debate, which usually fails to correct their mistaken concepts and can even turn them against Dafa even more. What we should do then is to immediately adjust our attitudes and speak with compassion. The more compassionate and calmer we are, the more easily we can persuade those people who oppose Falun Dafa.

On several occasions when I was clarifying the truth in the middle of a large group of people, several of them verbally attacked me at the same time, which influenced others in the group. Some of them said that I'd best not go there again. Others forcefully kept me from talking, so I couldn't continue. When this happens, we should not stubbornly continue, because it will bring about bad results. After I stepped out the door I immediately refused to recognize this phenomenon. When I went there the next time, I came up with a different way to clarify the truth. I handed out truth-clarifying CDs and flyers to them instead.

Over time, these people's attitudes about Falun Dafa have improved. Master told us in "Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference,"

I also hand people small cards that tell the truth about Falun Dafa. My truth-clarifying efforts tend to be most effective when I go to families' homes to cut their hair. After I finish talking, I give them several cards. When clarifying the truth to a large group, some people leave in the middle, while those who remain show a special interest in the truth. I also give them the cards, which they really appreciate.

It's best if we also cite some examples when clarifying the truth. I tell them about people who have had their illnesses cured after they silently recited, "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good;" about a person who carried a small Dafa card and was uninjured in a car accident; about Jiang's regime corrupting society; and so on. I give many examples from many different angles. When I need a specific example in clarifying the truth, I just pick an appropriate one, and the effects are quite good.

Each word and each deed that a Dafa disciple presents is also very important. In the wintertime, when I saw that some Dafa disciples volunteered to sweep the snow in front of their buildings, I also volunteered to help clear the snow away. There was an older woman who had seldom talked to me before. Since I have been clearing the snow, she took the initiative to talk to me and even asked me to help her move. When I was helping her move, I stopped a thief who had robbed money at knifepoint. Now when I clarify the truth, when it is appropriate, I also mention my good deeds of nabbing a thief and of volunteering to cut hair for several elderly people who are on a fixed income. I also mention that I have a college degree. Through these examples, people all recognize the goodness of Falun Dafa.

Nowadays when I go to the countryside to work, everyone knows that I am a Falun Gong practitioner. Some people ask me for truth-clarification CDs, others for small Falun Dafa cards, and some call out, "Falun Dafa is Good!" when they see me. Conditions are getting better and better.
