Two Elderly Practitioners from Fusong County, Jilin Province Die from Harassment by Police Chief Zhang Enge, Other Practitioners in the Area Are Brutally Persecuted

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Dai Shufen was a Falun Gong practitioner from Songjianghe Town, Fusong County, Jilin Province. Because she persisted in practicing Falun Gong, the local police have constantly harassed her since July 1999, when the persecution of Falun Gong began. On May 13, 2003, practitioner Guan Xingxian was arrested. The local police station chief, Zhang Enge, used the excuse that Dai Shufen had had contact with Guan Xingxian, and ransacked Dai Shufen's home. They took away Falun Gong books and materials. Afterwards, Zhang Enge often called Ms. Dai to harass and threaten her. As a result of the harassment and pressure, Dai Shufen fell ill. She passed away on December 26, 2003, at the age of 63.

Dai Shufen's daughter, Sun Liping, was also a Falun Gong practitioner. On October 1, 2003, she was arrested while distributing Falun Gong truth clarifying materials in Huludao City, Liaoning Province. She was detained in Masanjia Women's Labor Camp and the police would not allow her family to visit her. In May 2004, the police invited Ms. Sun's family to come to see her for the first time, when Sun Liping was already paralyzed by the torture.

Ms. Wang Shanling was a practitioner from Fusong City. On March 5, 2004, the local police station chief, Zhang Enge, led his accomplices to ransack her home. Zhang Enge also often harassed Ms. Wang. As a result, Wang Shanling died on January 3, 2005 at the age of 68.

Thirty-year-old Mr. Gao Han and twenty-year-old Ms. Yin Jun are now on the verge of death due to torture by police from the Fusong County Police Department. The police attempted to extort money from Yin Jun's family, but failed. It is said that they plan to sentence her.
