Students and Lecturers from Wuhan University Persecuted for Practicing Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. He Jian, a postgraduate student of the Class of 1997, College of Economics, a Master's degree holder, has been abducted several times and was sentenced to one and a half years in a forced labor camp. Around April 2003, he was abducted again. He almost died from the torture. The police then put him on trial and sentenced him again.

Mr. Wu Kexue, a Class of 1995 postgraduate student of the College of Physics, a Master's degree holder, has been abducted several times and sentenced to one year in forced labor camp. In July 2003, in Shenzhen City, he was kidnapped by the police and the 610 Office of Wuhan City and Guangdong Province. He was later released. In October 2003, he was again abducted in Shenzhen. His whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. He Bing, a Class of 1996 postgraduate student from the College of Economics, a Master's degree holder, and Ms. Li Fan, also a Class of 1996 postgraduate student from the College of Economics and a Master's degree holder, were both working at the Beijing Second Foreign Languages Institute after they graduated in 1999. They were fired for talking to the people at the college about Falun Dafa.

Mr. Guo Hongjian, a Class of 1996 postgraduate student, College of Philosophy, Master's degree holder, was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp. He is currently being held at a brainwashing center.

Mr. Zhao Hu, a postgraduate student of the Class of 1995, College of Politics and Administration, a Master's degree holder, has been arrested many times. He has been sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp.

Mr. Wen Ruchun, postgraduate student of the Class of 1996, College of Economics, a Master's degree holder, was sentenced to forced labor for one year.

Ms. Zhang Huali, postgraduate student of the Class of 1996, was sent to a psychiatric hospital to be persecuted.

Ms. Yin Jun, postgraduate student of the Class of 1997, a master's degree holder, was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years.

Ms. Zhang Kun, a postgraduate student of the Class of 1997, a master's degree holder, was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp.

Ms. Jin Huashan, a student of the Class of 1995, a Bachelor's degree holder, was abducted by police in Shenzhen City in November 2003. No further details are available.

Mr. Luo Jinsha, a Bachelor's degree holder, was fired from his job at the Bank of Commerce for practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. Chen Gang, postgraduate student of the Class of 1995, College of Philosophy, a Master's degree holder, was fired from his job at the Wuhan Science and Technology University. He was later abducted and sent to a brainwashing center.

Mr. Wu Zhenxin, a Bachelor's degree holder and a lecturer at the College of Business, was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. In December 2004, authorities of Wuhan University abducted him and sent him to a brainwashing center to be persecuted. His whereabouts are unknown.
