Practitioner Chao Qiangzhen from Yangpu District, Shanghai, Has Died As A Result of Persecution
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Chao Qiangzhen, 53 years old, was a Falun Dafa
practitioner in Yangpu District, Shanghai City. She began her Falun Gong
cultivation path at the beginning of 1998. She went to Beijing to peacefully
appeal for Falun Gong and clarify the truth. However, she was unlawfully
arrested and sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp. She suffered inhuman
physical and mental torture. After Ms. Chao returned home from the forced labor
camp, the police subjected her to continuous monitoring and harassment, and as a
result her physical condition deteriorated. She developed from intestinal
cancer, which then spread to her liver and all over her body. She suffered
greatly and passed away on February 4, 2005. Practitioner Mr. Cong Peixi, a 57-year-old engineer, used to work in the
Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. On
November 26, 2004, five people from the Yangpu District 610 Office
tricked Cong Peixi into opening the door by pretending that they were delivering
a publication. They illegally searched Cong Peixi's house, confiscated his
property, and arrested him. Cong Peixi was unlawfully imprisoned in the Yangpu
District Detection Center. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor. Now he
is in very weak physical condition and his life is in danger. The 610 Office has
sentenced Cong Peixi to two years in the forced labor camp. He is forced to do
hard labor for more than 10 hours a day. His body has become bent, and his
joints no longer function properly. February 16, 2005
