Los Angeles, California: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Anti-torture Exhibition in Front of Chinese Consulate (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 11, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Los Angeles County held anti-torture exhibition in front of Chinese Consulate and reenacted scenes of the inhuman torture of Falun Gong practitioners in China. The exhibition was to have more people know the brutal persecution occurring in labor camps, jail and prisons and understand the cruelty of the persecution.

Due to limited space in front of the consulate, the practitioners used wisdom to set up the anti-torture exhibition on two flatbed trucks parked across the consulate and broadcast commentary with speakers in both English and Chinese. The exhibition was startling though it only revealed a few of the brutal torture means that Jiang's faction used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Almost all passers-by stopped to watch the reenactment and posters and accept the truth-clarification literature. Some passers-by agreed with practitioners about holding anti-torture exhibition and suggested practitioners hold in busy locations during weekend. Some passers-by expressed their indignation to the persecution and sympathy to the victims and signed their names to support the effort to stop the persecution.

The staff in the consulate called the police in attempts to stop the practitioners' truth-clarification activity. However, police in this country know very well about practitioners' peaceful activities and understand the anti-torture exhibition. They did not intervene but stayed aside to protect the practitioners from harassment until the end of the exhibition.

A lady walked out of the consulate and took photos of practitioners. The practitioners offered her their wishes that she stop following Jiang's faction, helping in the persecution of kind people.

We call on all kind-hearted people to help innocent Falun Gong practitioners and help stop the ongoing brutal persecution.
