Short Stories of Clarifying the Truth in My Hometown

Clearwisdom.net) Before the 2005 Chinese New Year, I went back to my hometown to clarify the truth. The following are several short stories about my trip.

1. Clarifying the truth on a bus

As the long-distance bus was driving quickly on the national highway, the passengers discussed the corruption of the Communist Party, their taking bribes and their perverted justice, and that man-made disasters are happening more frequently so that people had a hard time making a living. My heart ached, as I knew that everyone was hoping to hear the truth and waiting for salvation.

It did not take very long until a passenger suddenly asked me, "May I ask how old you are and where you are going?" After I replied, he said, "You do not look your age at all." I told him, "That's because I am a Falun Gong practitioner." At that point, the passengers turned around and looked at me. I said, "I used to have several serious diseases and was not able to find a cure, so I started practicing Falun Gong and cultivated my moral character according to the teachings of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. As a result, my illnesses disappeared and I am very healthy now." I could see that the passengers were quietly listening to me and the environment was surprisingly good.

I continued, "However, Jiang's regime began slandering and defaming Falun Gong. Those who appealed the injustice or persisted in practicing Falun Gong were detained, sent to labor camps, sentenced to prison, and tortured. They were beaten with electric batons and metal clubs, or subjected to other kinds of torture to force them to denounce Teacher and Falun Gong, and to be "transformed." Today, people in more than 60 countries worldwide practice Falun Gong. Teacher and Falun Dafa have received thousands of honors and awards. Jiang's regime is the only government that persecutes Falun Gong and defies the laws of heaven. This is why the country has experienced so many natural and man-made disasters. I was sentenced to forced labor because I appealed for Falun Gong and also suffered persecution, but I refused to give up practicing. We are improving both mentally and physical through cultivation, becoming better people, saving medical expenses for both the country and for ourselves. Why would we not practice?" The passengers and driver received my words quite well and started talking amongst themselves about Falun Gong.

The bus reached its final destination and the driver said to me in a friendly tone, "You are welcome to take our bus again on your next trip." I handed him a postcard with the words "Falun Gong is good! Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are good", and he happily accepted it and thanked me. I sincerely wished that more living beings would attain the Fa and be saved.

2. The whole family protects Dafa Books

My relatives and friends had their minds poisoned by the Communist Party's propaganda and could not withstand the pressure. As a result, they either turned in their Dafa books or destroyed them themselves, which caused a large amount of karma. However, one family member who did not practice actually preserved the Dafa books. In February 2005, I told him and his close relatives more about Falun Gong, and they are now determined to become practitioners.

3. "I always knew that Falun Gong was not evil"

A young man obtained the book Zhuan Falun before the persecution began on July 20, 1999. He read it once but did not take up the practice. Recently, after I told him the facts about Falun Gong, he told me that he had preserved the book, and for years he always believed that Falun Gong was good and not evil, as the media had claimed. He also expressed an interest in learning and was enthusiastic about it. I also demonstrated the exercises for him and told him to contact me if he wished to learn more. I also encouraged him to read the book again, and he agreed.
