(Clearwisdom.net) In order to promote Falun Gong and expose the persecution against the practice in Mainland China, practitioners in Gothenburg took part in celebration activities for the Iranian New Year on March 15, 2005. Falun Gong practitioners distributed brochures and beautiful paper lotus flowers. Owing to many people coming from the Iranian community, they also gave out brochures in the Iranian language.
Even though it was pretty cold, there were still many people taking leaflets happily. Practitioners distributed more than three thousand leaflets within several hours. Practitioners from Iran told their compatriots about the enormous effects that practicing Falun Gong brings to the health of the body and mind.

Those who participated thought this was a successful activity because they sensed the interest and passion from people. Moreover, some people who took the material during the activity telephoned Falun Gong practitioners the next day to inquire where they could learn the exercises and hear more about Falun Gong.
