With No Fear in the Heart, Wisdom Emerges Amidst Tests

One evening, two Falun Dafa practitioners distributed truth-clarifying materials. At the front door of one business, the practitioners slipped a flyer under the door. Just as the practitioners were leaving, the owner returned. She saw the practitioners in front of her store, so she ran towards them and shouted, "What are you doing?" The practitioners calmly spoke to the owner and said, "Please don't yell. We are Falun Dafa practitioners. We are distributing truth-clarifying materials to save sentient beings."

After hearing this, the owner calmed down and asked, "Why do you call them truth-clarifying materials? " The practitioner replied, "The materials explain that Falun Dafa is based on heavenly principles, and that cultivators of Falun Dafa are good people. If you understand this, you will be rewarded with good fortune. You can read these materials at home." The owner understood and continually repeated, "Good! Good! Good!"

When Practitioners Are Steadfast, Evil is Powerless

In April 2000, county government officials began brainwashing sessions, trying to force practitioners to renounce Falun Dafa. A certain Falun Dafa practitioner has been very diligent in cultivation. Starting in July 1999, when the persecution of Falun Dafa began, her family opposed her practice. However, she insisted on cultivating and did not waver. Her family cooperated with the persecutors during the brainwashing and tried to convince her to give in. The persecutors were ruthless: they pummeled and kicked her and subjected her to brutal torture. However, she was not moved by coercion or her relatives' pleas.

She recited,

"Steadfastly cultivate Dafa, the will unflinching

The raising of levels is what's fundamental

In the face of tests one's true nature is revealed

Achieve Consummation, becoming a Buddha, Dao, or God"

("True Nature Revealed," Essentials II)

The crueler the beatings, the more she recited this, and the more determined she became. The wicked men realized they could not move her righteous mind, so they had her family write the three statements for her and posted the statements on the wall. Then, her family took her home and locked her in the house.

The practitioner escaped from the house and went to the county government building where she had been held. The officer in the 610 Office closed the iron door quickly before she could get in. Outside, she shouted, "I did not write that, and I do not admit to anything!" The officer said that her family did not write the statements. She requested to be let in to see the statements. The officer opened the iron door and quietly took down the three statements from the wall. She confidently said, "I am following the Teacher closely, I will continue to cultivate until the end, and I will never waver." The officer became frightened and asked her to go home quickly.

In 2001, a fellow-practitioner was imprisoned for 18 days. The leader of the local 610 Office threatened her, "Someone saw you write something about Falun Dafa." The practitioner calmly and firmly replied, "Where did I write it?" " On the ground somewhere," said the leader.

The practitioner replied, "Falun Dafa is holy. How can it be arbitrarily written on the ground? Not only do I write truth-clarifying materials, I also post and distribute them. What are you going to do? Look for the evidence? " After hearing this, the leader quickly set the practitioner free.
