Slovak Republic: Mayor of the City of Pezinok Attended Falun Gong Appeal to Sign a Petition Calling for an End to the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Saturday the 26th of February began as a nice, sunny day, and practitioners of Falun Gong visited Pezinok city and held an activity on Radnicne Square to call for public attention to the persecution against Falun Gong, which has continued for almost six years. Documented evidence details the killing of 1,379 practitioners, although Chinese Government estimates put the unofficial figure close to 10,000.

The Pezinok people were interested and wanted to find out more about both the Falun Gong practice and the brutal human rights violations happening in China. They asked a lot of questions and signed their names on a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

The Mayor of the city, Mr. Oliver Solga, personally visited the site to greet practitioners and sign the petition. He expressed his wish to welcome Falun Gong appeals in other busier locations in the city where even more people could get a chance to find out what is happening to practitioners in China.

In the evening there was a Far East Film Festival in Pezinok, which the practitioners visited to demonstrate the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and raise awareness of the persecution.
