Safeguarding a Dafa Book on a Journey of Thousands of Miles

A Dafa practitioner went to his parents' hometown in Shandong Province to look for a job, but the local 610 Office found out and took him away under escort.

For security reasons he left his Dafa book at his parents' home, but he didn't want to be without the book for even a day. What could he do? It was May 2002. Police checkpoints were everywhere. People were being searched at every railroad juncture and major intersection.

The practitioner's wife decided to bring the book back to him. She was very confident that she would succeed.

She traveled to Shandong Province to fetch the book. Her in-laws were reluctant to let her take the book back, since it was quite dangerous. However, she told them, "Don't worry. Nothing is going to happen to me." She went to the railroad station. Police were everywhere. Everyone was being searched at the station's entrance, and every piece of luggage was inspected. The police took people away whenever they thought there was a problem.

"What should I do?" she thought. She suddenly had an idea. She bought a bouquet of fresh flowers and two plastic bags. She filled the plastic bags with water and put the flowers in the bags. Then she placed them inside the bag where she kept the book. At the entrance, when the inspector saw the flowers, he let her go without checking her. As soon as she passed, she sat down and took out the book and put it in her pocket, since she didn't want it to get wet.

As she neared the transfer station, she wondered about how she would carry her luggage. Suddenly the soldier sitting in front of her offered his help. When they arrived at the transfer station, he carried all of her luggage. She warned the soldier that the police would inspect every bag. He smiled and said: "Don't worry, they don't search soldiers." He invited her to the Soldier's Lounge. There he asked someone else to help her when her train came. She arrived home safe and sound. She was so delighted! She gave her husband the book and told him her experience. She also told him, "This is how your Master protected me."
