Emergency Rescue Needed for Sun Yongsheng, Who Is Near Death in the Shenyang City 2nd Jail

(Clearwisdom.net) According to the latest news, Fushun City, Liaoning Province Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sun Yongsheng, after being persecuted in a dark cell of Shenyang 2^nd Jail, went on a hunger strike for more than 13 days. His life is in danger.

Mr. Sun Yongsheng, in his 30's, lived in the Wanghua area of Fushun City. He is illegally detained in the 20th Jail District of the Shenyang City 2^nd Jail. On March 23, 2005 after Sun refused to perform forced labor, he was put in solitary confinement. Jail personnel started to refuse his family visits, and set a trap to threaten and expel his relatives.

Sun went on hunger strike the same day he was confined to protest the abuse. The jail staff didn't care if he lived or died. Nearly two weeks later they realized Sun's life was in danger. On April 4, 2005 Sun was sent to the military hospital in Shenyang city to get emergency treatment. He was released 5 days later.

At present Sun is extremely weak, and his condition is still critical. When his relatives visited, they saw that his hands and feet were numb and he was pale. He had to use his arm to support his back, and could only shuffle his feet while walking.

Despite his critical condition, the Shenyang City 2^nd Jail did not inform his family at all and has refused to release him.

Now, knowing Sun is near death, we demand that the Shenyang City 2^nd jail immediately release Sun Yongsheng unconditionally.
