Practitioners in Zhangjiakou City Confront Police Officers and Government Officials Who Participated in Persecution (Photos) By a Dafa practitioner in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province (Clearwisdom.net) On February 23, 2005, Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhao Weiping and her mother-in-law Duan Xiuguo were reported when they were clarifying the truth in Nuandianbao Village, Wanquan County, Hebei Province. Village officials Wang Desheng, Shi Defu and another person took them to the Nuandianbao Village Party Committee. They clarified the truth to the three officials who not only refused to listen, but also started verbally abusing and beating them. The village officials called the police, but the two practitioners refused to cooperate with the perpetrators and shouted "Falun Dafa is great!" The police slapped their faces, then took the two practitioners to the Kongjiazhuang Police Station. The police officers kept verbally abusing the practitioners on the way.
Upon arrival at the police station the officers again slapped their faces and verbally abused them. They took the practitioners to two separate rooms and searched them. They took over 20 yuan in cash from Duan Xiuguo and asked for her name, address and the source of the flyers. They also told her to sign a document but she refused. Led by deputy head Li Xiaojun and officer Li Haijiang, four or five officers violently beat her. They grabbed her hair and punched her head and face. They also kicked her all over. Her face became swollen and bumps appeared on her temple and the area around her eyes. She could barely open her left eye. Her face and mouth became swollen as well, and the police were afraid she might die. They poured cold water on her face to wash away the blood and wiped her face twice with a piece of cloth. She constantly shouted, "Falun Dafa is great." The police threatened her with electric batons. They finally gave up when they saw she was not afraid of death.
At the same time, deputy head Wu Yonggui, officers Qiao Xiaoping and Fang Wanbin interrogated practitioner Zhao Weiping in another room, in violation of the Chinese constitution. They pretended to be kind and tricked Zhao Weiping into giving her name and signing a document. When Zhao Weiping shouted, "Falun Dafa is great" officer Li Haijiang repeatedly hit her buttocks with a rubber club until she fell to the ground and could not get up.
After four or five hours of such torture, around 7:00 p.m., three officers, including Qiao Xiaoping drove the two practitioners to a detention center. They again searched the practitioners and took 80 yuan from Zhao Weiping. They locked the practitioners in a room with two filthy quilts and three shabby coats. The temperature was around - 14 C at the time. The practitioners immediately went on a hunger strike. They were extremely weak on day six, and the police released them around 3:00 p.m. on February 28.
The police didn't notify their families and didn't return the money they took from the practitioners. They claimed the money was used to pay for food, although the practitioners didn't receive a single bite during the whole detention. They even refused to return 10 yuan to pay for bus fare. The practitioners trekked 15 kilometers to the bus station, though they were very hungry, thirsty and weak. They took a bus to Wanquan Town, and it was past 6:00 p.m. when they arrived at home. Suppressing the evil
On March 1, other practitioners visited the two practitioners. Because Teacher endured for them they have recovered a great deal, compared to seven days ago. The area around their eyes was still black and blue, their faces slightly swollen and their eyes bloodshot. After a discussion, the practitioners agreed that Fa rectification is pushing forward rapidly and Teacher has given practitioners many Fa implements; therefore we should not allow the perpetrators to persecute Dafa.
Other than looking inward and finding our omissions, we should also resort to legal means to expose the persecutors from the perspective of the Fa, in order to prevent the them from again committing crimes against Dafa. We should also clarify the truth to more people to offer predestined people salvation.
In the afternoon, three people, including Zhao Weiping's husband, also a Dafa practitioner, went to the detention center and confronted the police about the beating of Zhao Weiping. They asked, "Why did you beat her so savagely and then kick her out penniless?" Sun Shibin, head of the detention center tried to shirk the responsibility and said they did not beat Zhao Weiping, but then he admitted that officers at the Kongjiazhuang Police Department did the beating. When they asked Sun Shibin for the money he took from the practitioners he said, "The money was used to pay for room and board."
The family members clarified the truth to other people who were present and told them, "Good will be rewarded with good and evil will meet with retribution." The people working at the detention center were silent, and the evil was greatly suppressed!
On March 2, seven or eight practitioners, including Duan Xiuguo, went to the Kongjiazhuang Police Station and met with deputy head Wu Yonggui, officers Qiao Xiaoping and Fang Wanbin who were on duty. These were the men who had interrogated Zhao Weiping. They were afraid of their crimes being exposed and immediately denied beating Zhao Weiping, saying that they didn't know who beat her. Duan Xiuguo recognized the pictures of deputy head Li Xiaojun and officer Li Haijiang hanging in the hall. Li Xiaojun and Li Haijiang were afraid and they refused to call out other police officers and let Duan Xiuguo identify them. They looked at Duan Xiuguo, who was lying on the couch, her face covered with scars. They knew that in their roles as administrators of the law, they had committed crimes. They told Duan Xiuguo to go to a hospital to receive treatment.
With Teacher's benevolent protection, the practitioners kept sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth to them. The perpetrators returned the cash and things they took from Duan Xiuguo and Zhao Weiping, but they could not find Duan Xiuguo's belt and gloves. They also agreed to drive to Nuandianbao to retrieve the practitioners' bicycle that village officials had taken away.
The village officials at Nuandianbao were shocked and speechless that the police would retrieve a bicycle for a Falun Gong practitioner whom they had abducted and beaten. It was a first for them. The practitioners asked village official Shi Defu, "Why did you report and persecute good people?" They clarified the truth to him and told him it is a crime to persecute Dafa practitioners and that he would receive karmic retribution. He was scared speechless. His hands shook so badly when he tried to open the door to his office that he could not open it. His voice was trembling when he called for help through the village broadcasting system. It was not until later when some police officers arrived that they opened the door for him.
The practitioners took to the streets and clarified the truth to people, which greatly suppressed the evil.
In the end, the practitioners went to the Political and Judiciary Committee and the police department to expose the evil and clarify the truth. Perpetrators from the Kongjiazhuang Police Station followed the practitioners and asked the secretary for the Political and Judiciary Committee, the secretary for the Disciplinary Inspection Committee and head of the police department to go into hiding. The practitioners exposed and suppressed the evil!
