Recent Arrests of Falun Gong Practitioners in Mainland China (II)

arresting Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale. According to information
from various sources, this mass arrest was planned nationwide to target
practitioners. This severe round of persecution is the largest in scale since
the persecution began on July 20, 1999. It also once again proves the evil
nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Lately, we have heard many cases of
practitioners being arrested and their property ransacked in various regions,
including Beijing, Jilin Province, Heilongjiang Province, Hunan Province,
Shandong Province, Hebei Province, Guangdong Province, and many other locations. Practitioners Liu Junping and Liu Junying Were Arrested in Jushan Village of
Sijiqing Town, Haidian Distric, Beijing Liu Junping and Liu Junying are practitioners in Jushan Village of Sijiqing
Town, Haidian District in Beijing. On April 4, 2005, they were arrested in
Oushang Supermarket when distributing truth-clarification materials.
They are now illegally detained in Qinghe Haidian Detention Center. Recent Vicious Persecution of Dafa Practitioners by Police in Antu District,
Jilin Province On April 10, 2005, when Dafa practitioners Zhao Fengxian and Sun Huanyi
clarified the truth and distributed truth-clarifying materials in Mingyue Town,
they were followed by people intent on arresting them. That night, the police
searched their homes and confiscated truth-clarification materials. On the evening of March 29, 2005, Dafa practitioner Guan Libo was reported to
the police. The police illegally searched Guan Libo's home, and confiscated Dafa
books as well as truth-clarifying materials. Guan Libo was detained in Antu
Detention Center. On the morning of March 30, 2005, police illegally searched Dafa practitioner
Yang Yanqiu's home and confiscated truth-clarifying materials. The above four practitioners were now illegally detained at the Antu
Detention Center. The authorities are planning to send Zhao Fengxian and Sun

Heilongjiang Province At 8 p.m. on April 19, 2005, Jidong County Police arrested practitioners Li
Yueqin, Wang Jiacheng, Zhao Fengying, and Gao Fenglan. The police illegally
confiscated more than 20 items of truth-clarifying materials and more than 3,000
yuan in cash. Wang Jiacheng, Gao Fenglan were forced to pay a fine
of 3,000 yuan each, and were released at 1 p.m. on April 20. Dafa Practitioner Jiang Yulian Arrested in the No. 2 Hospital of Huaihua City On April 20, 2005, Huang Lin, of Hongjiang District No. 2 Hospital of Huaihua
City, led more than 10 policemen to the office of practitioner Jiang Yulian.
They forced open the locks on the drawers. Jiang Yulian's co-workers wanted to
stop it but failed. As a result, several drawers were damaged. They also went to
Jiang Yulian's house, forced open the gate, and confiscate some personal
property. After Jiang Yulian got off work, she was taken to the police station
for interrogation. The reason for these illegal police actions is that Jiang Yulian recently
clarified the truth and gave a postcard to a patient. A nurse reported this to
the Nursing Division, who in turn passed the information to 610 Office head
Huang Lin. In fact, practitioners have already clarified the truth to Huang Lin.
Jiang Yulian is currently detained in Hongjiang Division Detention Center. City, Shandong Province On the morning of April 21, 2005, Dafa practitioners Chen Shihuan and Chen
Shihua were arrested at work by Zhaoyuan City 610 Office officials. Some Dafa
materials were confiscated. Detailed information is unavailable right now. Zhao Yun Illegally Arrested When Distributing Truth-clarification Materials
in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province On March 8, Zhao Yun was illegally arrested by the Zaozhuang City 610 Office
officials headed by Di Hao. Di Hao also led other people to Zhao Yun's home and
confiscated many materials, a computer and printer, and other equipment. Right
now, Zhao Yun is illegally detained in the detention center under so-called
"criminal detention." Her 4-year son cries every day asking for his
mom. Dafa practitioners Niu Guifen and Zhang Liyuan (mother and daughter) were
taken away from home by Laizhou City police. Right now, they are probably
detained in Laizhou Detention. Police Recklessly Arrest Dafa Practitioners in Zhaoyuan City On April 7, two Dafa practitioners were arrested in the urban areas of
Zhaoyuan City. At 11 a.m. on April 21, the police department dispatched police
vans, 610 Office vehicles, three cars, as well as more than 10 policemen to a
business location. They went to Beiyuan Road, and arrested two practitioners at
work: Ms. Chen Shuhua (53 years old, working in the wholesale department) and
Mr. Chen Shihuan (48 years old, working in the retail store). The police also
ransacked the wholesale department and stole a computer and printer, both of
which were for business use. They also ransacked Chen Shuhua's home. In the
retail store, the vicious thugs messed up the clothes, bedding, and the entire
store, as well as confiscated a Dafa book. Chen Shuhua's family members later
found that the thugs had stolen two wallets. When the vicious thugs were
arresting Chen Shihuan in the retail store, his son tried to stop them. Although
Chen Shihuan's son is not a practitioner, he was also arrested. Currently, Chen
Shihuan and his son are now illegally detained in Luofeng Road Police Station.
On the same day, when Chen Shihuan's family went to visit, they saw that Mr.
Chen's son had been brutally beaten by the police, while Chen Shihuan's
whereabouts remain unknown. Zhang Wei, Deputy Secretary General of Zhaoyuan City, in charge of
persecuting Falun Gong, was appointed to his position in February 2005. In
March, he organized an anti-Falun Gong signature campaign throughout Zhaoyuan
City. On April 15, he organized a meeting to persecute Falun Gong throughout
Zhaoyuan City. During the meeting, orders were passed down from higher officers
to reinforce the persecution. Many officials took part in the meeting including
Zhang Wei (Zhaoyuan City Deputy Secretary General), Xu Linhong (Zhaoyuan City
Secretary of Political and Judicial Committee), Cai Ping (head of Police
Department), Liu Shuju (head of 610 Office). Urgent Call to Help Rescue Practitioners Ms. Li Xiulan and Ms. He Shuyan in
Aohan County, Inner Mongolia Around 11 o'clock on the evening of April 11, 2005, while Ms. Li Xiulan and
Ms. He Shuyan were out on the streets posting Statements of Resignations from
the CCP published by the Epoch Times, they saw some police on patrol.
Afraid of being found, Li Xiulan threw away the bottle of glue and broke it. The
policemen heard the sound and caught them. The policemen brought the two
practitioners to court for an illegal trial. When no guards were around, the
practitioners managed to unlock their handcuffs by sending forth righteous
thoughts. However, Li Xiulan accidentally knocked over a glass, which alerted
the policemen. Only He Shuyan was able to escape, but she was forced to become
homeless in order to avoid being arrested from her home. Li Xiulan remains in
detention and is under persecution at a forced labor camp. Another practitioner, Ms. Bi Zhanqin, is being held at Chifeng Police Station
because she distributed truth clarification materials. Detailed information

86-13804760222 (Cell) Practitioner Mr. Liu Wen from Baoding City, Hebei Province Detained Again Practitioner Mr. Liu Wen is from Zhuozhou County, Baoding City, Hebei
Province. His current address is 18 Liulin Qianjie, Chengguandongjie Village,
Fangshan District, Beijing. Liu Wen was arrested on Tiananmen Square on October
6, 2000, and was illegally sentenced to 3 years in a labor camp. Upon completion
of the sentence, he was sent back to the brainwashing center in Zhuozhou and
suffered further persecution. As he did not give up his belief, he was then
transferred to Baoding Forced Labor Camp. At the end of 2004, Mr. Liu appealed
against the persecution by going on a hunger strike at the labor camp. Four days
later, he was allowed to go home for medical reasons. However, while he was
still recovering in January 2005, Liu Wen was arrested again by the persecutors
from Fangshan District, Beijing. At present, Liu Wen is being detained and
suffering abuse at the brainwashing center in Liangxiang County, Beijing. Practitioner Mr. Kang Yongqiang from Laiyuan County, Baoding City, Hebei
Province Arrested by Police On April 15, 2005, policemen from Laiyuan Police Station, Baoding City, Hebei
Province abducted practitioner Kang Yongqiang from his home. The computer that
he bought for his child was taken away by the police. Kang Yongqiang remains in
detention at the police station. Practitioners from Laiyuan County, Baoding City, Hebei Province Suffer
Persecution On March 28, 2005, policemen from the Laiyuan Police Station and the staff of
the Laiyuan 610 Office abducted practitioners Mr. Li Shulin (employee of the
Urban Construction Bureau), Mr. Liu Zhilin (doctor at the County Hospital), and
Ms. An Libin (teacher). The practitioners were sent to the brainwashing center
in Baoding City. No detailed information about their current situation is
available due to the information blockade by the persecutors. Mr. Ma Shun, 51, is from Shiliwan Village, Laiyuan County, Baoding City,
Hebei Province. Both his mind and his physical health improved after he began
practicing Falun Gong. In 2003, Ma Shun was arrested for printing truth
clarification materials at home. He was detained at the Laiyuan Detention Center
and brutally tortured, but he did not give up his belief in Falun Gong. Mr. Ma
was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment. Currently, he is being held at No. 1
Prison of Hebei Province (Baoding Prison). Ms. Zhao Haiping, 45, is from Erdaohe Village, Laiyuan County, Hebei
Province. Her mental and physical health improved after she began practicing
Falun Gong. In 2002, Zhao Haiping was detained at Laiyuan Detention Center
because she would not give up her belief in Falun Gong. Under the tremendous
pressure of the persecution, her husband divorced her after 16 years of
marriage. Currently, Zhao Haiping is in a destitute situation and doing some
part-time work to make a living. Two Practitioners are Arrested in Futian District, Shenzhen City Recently in Shenzhen City, the staff of the Lianhua Street Committee, Futian
District, and policemen from the Jingtian Police Station arrested practitioners
Ms. Wang Shuling and Ms. Zhang Fuying. They are both family members of employees
of Shenzhen Tianjian Corporation. Chen Chunfeng, the director of the General Office of the Lianhua Street
Committee, used to serve in the military. He follows the orders of Jiang Zemin
and his evil gang of scoundrels closely, and actively arrests practitioners in
