(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday, May 14, 2005, Los Angeles Falun Dafa practitioners held a group practice and rally in the City of Monterey Park, where numerous Chinese people reside, to celebrate the sixth annual World Falun Dafa Day. The celebration began with a group exercise practice. Then Mr. Li Youfu, Wu Yingnian and Ye Ke, representing all of the practitioners, read congratulatory notes from well-wishers and gave speeches. All the practitioners simultaneously wished Master a happy birthday.

Mr. Li Youfu said in his greetings, "Since Falun Dafa was introduced to the public in 1992, the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance have been transmitted in the human world for 13 years. In these 13 years, the universe is being rectified, people's hearts are turning to goodness, and the new universe is being created. During these 13 years, practitioners have followed Master to cultivate themselves in the process of Fa-rectification; they clarified the truth, exposed the evil and saved sentient beings."

Mr. Li continued, "Although the 13-year journey has been full of hardship, it is incomparably splendid. Today, Falun Dafa has already taken root and is blossoming in the human world. Today, we are celebrating the 13^th anniversary of Falun Dafa's worldwide spread. This is the greatest fortune for sentient beings in the cosmos. We are celebrating this most important day of all ages. We are celebrating the fact that the old evil forces are being eliminated and the new spring of the cosmos is coming."

Mr. Wu Yingnian pointed out in his speech, "On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist regime began its cruel persecution of Falun Gong. Jiang said he would 'eradicate Falun Gong in three months.' However, six years have passed, and Falun Gong is not eradicated; instead, it has spread to more than 70 countries around the world. More than 1,000 proclamations have been issued throughout the world to honor Falun Gong, and the practice has gained countless people's support and recognition."

Mr. Wu stressed that Falun Gong practitioners' persistent nonviolent resistance is only for the purpose of exposing the facts of the persecution. Falun Gong is not involved in politics, and has no interests in gaining political power.

Mr. Ye Ke said that on May 13, 13 years ago, Master Li Hongzhi held the first Falun Gong lecture series at the Changchun No. Five Middle School. 180 people attended. In 13 short years, Falun Dafa has been spread to more than 70 countries across six continents. May 13 is the day that heaven and earth celebrate together. In the future, human beings will always remember this day.
