Canada: Touching Stories from the Eastern Canadian Health Expo (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Invited by the organizers' committee of the Moncton Health Expo, Falun Dafa practitioners from Halifax, Canada went to the City of Moncton to promote Falun Dafa on April 30 and May 1, 2005.

During the two-day expo, the Falun Gong practitioners' booth was a bright spot, visited the most frequently. At our booth, we played the exercise instruction video and taught the exercises. We also instructed people on how to fold paper lotus flowers. On the first day, just after we arrived at the exhibition hall and began setting up, people were already waiting there and wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises. During the Expo, a constant stream of people came to learn the exercises. Even when the Expo concluded, some people were still reluctant to leave, wanting to learn the exercises from us.

During the activity, practitioners used their pure hearts to clarify the truth, introduce Falun Dafa and teach the exercises. Because a great number of people came to learn the exercises, we hardly had any time to take a break. When we looked at the earnest faces, the anxious expressions, we felt very happy although we were very tired. At the same time, we felt our responsibility as Dafa practitioners. There are many people with predestined relationships and we don't want to miss anyone. We wanted to allow all of them to learn the truth so that they can be saved.

There were many touching stories during the two-day event.

The organizer of the Expo came to our booth on the afternoon of the first day and told us, "Your introduction to Falun Gong is really good! Every visitor here wants to visit your booth and many people want to learn the exercises." Many people who visited our booth told the organizer that the 3-dollar admission ticket to the Expo was really worth it.

After learning the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, two young ladies told us that they had passed by our booth by chance and they ended up learning such a good set of exercises that was beyond their expectation. They said that this was exactly what they were looking for. They felt very fortunate and wished that they could learn the exercises more from us later.

Many people asked if there was a specific exercise-instruction class. They left their contact information and hoped that we would inform them of the class schedule as soon as possible.

Lots of people learned the exercises directly from us or watched the exercise-instruction videotape when they passed by. They could feel our strong energy field and felt very comfortable. Because there were so many people learning the exercises in front of our booth and the place was not large enough, some people had to come back again and again to see if there was an available place for them to learn the exercises.

The theme of the Expo was, "Mind, Body and Spirit." We mainly introduced what Falun Gong is and the beauty of Falun Gong. Nevertheless, we found out that quite a few people were aware of the persecution encountered by Falun Gong in China. Nearly half of the people asked us why such a beautiful practice is being suppressed in China. They were quite confused about it. We told them that Falun Gong teaches "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" which is fundamentally opposite to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) principles of "falsehood, evilness and violence." The CCP does not only want to control heaven, earth, and human beings, but it wants to control mankind's thoughts as well. Most Canadian people do not have good feelings towards the CCP. After learning the facts, they felt that the CCP is really foolish.

After learning the Falun Gong exercises, two girls wanted to make a donation. We told them that all Falun Gong activities are taught voluntarily and are free of charge and we don't accept donations. They were quite moved upon hearing this. They said that they thought we needed money to travel here and for our lodging. In addition, they knew that the informational materials cost money too. They wished that they could make some contribution. I told them that if they could learn Falun Dafa and let more people know about Dafa, that would be the greatest contribution.

After listening to my introduction about the persecution experienced by Falun Gong practitioners in China, a woman who had just moved from Ottawa to Moncton asked me, "What can we do to help you?" I told her to raise awareness about Falun Dafa to everyone she encountered and tell them that Falun Dafa is great and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good. I said, when more people learn about the truth, the evil will have nowhere to do evil and the persecution will end soon. The woman told us that each time she passed by the Chinese Consulate in Ottawa, she could see practitioners peacefully appealing there. Each time, she would slow down her car and combine all her love, thoughts and energy with the practitioners', in order to support them. Before she left, she warmly embraced me and hoped that we would come again to teach the exercises. She said that she would like to find a practice site for us and serve as a coordinator.
