By a Dafa Practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) Aunt Li, gentle and genial, looks 20 years younger than others of her age. Unless you'd known her before, you wouldn't believe she was once terminally ill and on death's door. She was fortunate enough to encounter the practice of Falun Dafa, and that brought her out of her desperate situation. The following is her story, in her own words.

When I was just over 30, I had become a semi-disabled person with all kinds of illnesses. In 1995, several hospitals diagnosed that I had a serious heart problem; the bottom of my stomach was decayed and I often passed bloody pus. I had bile duct stones, some of them 24 mm in size (about an inch), blocking the opening of the gallbladder. I also had many other strange illnesses that defied diagnosis. These illnesses brought me so much suffering. I was often hospitalized for intravenous infusions and had to carry medicine with me all the time. I nearly lost everything to pay for medical treatment. My work unit also shared much of the medical costs. Even death would have been better than living that way. In 1996, a young engineer in my work unit introduced me to Falun Dafa, and fortunately I attained the Fa, which saved me from death.

During the nine-day class of watching Master's lecture videotapes, I slept through much of it and slept well. Yet, I heard and understood everything. Teacher said that Falun Gong cultivation was to directly cultivate one's mind and heart. To cultivate Dafa, we should not have any attachments. "Cultivation depends on the efforts of the individual while transforming gong is done by the master." (Zhuan Falun)

A genuine practitioner would not miss out on anything. In fact, I found out afterwards how lucky I was. During the nine-day class, Master had cleansed me from top to bottom. When the class was over, I felt a peace in my mind I had never experienced before. I sped up to study the Fa and to practice the exercises. Then, just after a short period of time, I felt incomparably at ease. I went to several hospitals for medical checkups again. The doctors were so surprised and said, "Where is the hole at the bottom of your stomach? Where are those 24 mm stones?" I told them it was Master Li who removed them for me, and that it was Falun Gong that saved my life!

In 1999, Jiang's scoundrel regime started to persecute Falun Gong. I took the example of my own story to validate the wonders of Dafa. Dafa not only has this miraculous healing effect on health, but also makes people lean toward kindness and develop noble morals. Such a good method is hard to come by, even once in a thousand years. I must cultivate Dafa firmly to the end.

In order to eradicate the poison put into the minds of people by Jiang's evil regime and the Communist evil spirit, I stood up to the oppression and kept on exposing the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong to the people. I have been unlawfully arrested six times and suffered inhuman tortures and brainwashing; however, nothing whatsoever can change my mind to cultivate Dafa. I am fully confident to follow Master to compassionately offer salvation to living beings.

My husband saw my changes with his own eyes after I started to practice Dafa, and he too started to practice Dafa in 1997. Although our life with our four children was quite simple and hard, it was very harmonious and peaceful since we had Dafa in our hearts.

What happened during cultivation made us realize how serious and wondrous cultivation is. This year, because we were too busy celebrating the Chinese New Year and slacked in doing well three things that Dafa practitioners should do, the evil factors took this opportunity and pulled us into a big tribulation and test, attempting to destroy us at any moment. On January 26, my husband suddenly experienced stroke symptoms. He suffered much head pain that seemed to split his head apart. He vomited and felt dizzy. He couldn't see anything and was unable to keep a clear mind. He couldn't move his hands and feet and had bowel and bladder incontinence. My children were scared. Our son-in-law immediately came by car and phoned all other family members, relatives and friends. Suddenly the room was filled with people and they urged us to go to the hospital for emergency care.

Then, the picture of Master teaching the Fa came to my mind. A practitioner has no illness! I thought that since the persecution began, Master hasn't arranged any tribulations to his disciples because the disciples have been utilizing all their energy to validate Dafa and to clarify the truth. It must be the persecution arranged by the old forces. Therefore, I calmly asked for Master's help and at the same time sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil. I clearly and firmly told the relatives and friends that everything would be ok soon and there was no need to go to the hospital. Once the righteous thoughts came out, with the protection of Master, the dangerous situation became stable.

My younger cousin, who was a practitioner too, came immediately to my home with several other practitioners after receiving my call. Together we sent strong righteous thoughts, to completely negate any evil persecution. The persecution of one practitioner is for all practitioners. We should never acknowledge them at all. With our strong righteous thoughts a miracle occurred. My husband's face immediately changed from green to ruddy. He gradually opened his eyes and was able to see things. He even asked for water and food. Over a week later he recovered completely and became normal again. He could walk to clarify the truth and to attend experience-sharing meetings. He didn't feel tired to walk long distances or to climb stairs in a building with dozens of floors.

This lesson is profound. The life of a practitioner is created by Dafa and exists for validating Dafa. We should take each step righteously on the path guided by Master. It is our mighty and benevolent Master who gave my husband and me a second life. What we can do in return is to do well the three things and race against time to redeem more sentient beings.

Dafa's manifestation on us, to bring back life, duly impressed all our relatives and friends. They realized more and more that Dafa is truly to save sentient beings and that Jiang's criminal regime fabricated huge lies such as the staged "Tiananmen Square Self-immolation," the "poison and murder case" and so on to frame Falun Gong and to instigate the Chinese people and the world to hate Falun Gong. Our relatives and friends were ashamed to have been members of the evildoing CCP and didn't want to become its scapegoats. They wrote "statements to quit three organizations" (Communist Party, Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneer) and cleaned up things related to the evil spirit, such as books, pictures, commemorative badges, and other items and burned them all.

Our clan is a big one, with least 3,000 people. This miracle story in my family quickly spread, going from mouth-to-mouth, from one to another. Many people in my hometown in Hunan Province got to know the story. People run around to tell others, "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is the mighty Dafa that has a miraculous power to cure diseases and keep fit."

Seeing the mighty power of Dafa, the fellow villagers and practitioners all took action to help the practitioners who are suffering persecution. Practitioner Mr. Zeng from a middle school in Loudi, Hunan Province is a good teacher, who is widely respected by students and their parents. His popularity however made another teacher in the same school very jealous. One day this teacher beat a student into a coma. Afraid to take responsibility, this teacher turned around to frame Mr. Zeng and claimed that Mr. Zeng caused this by teaching the student to practice Falun Gong. The false accusation went all the way to the Education Committee and the case was reported to the police department. This teacher, who has recently been promoted, even threatened to report Mr. Zeng to Changsha City, the provincial capital.

The local police broke into Mr. Zeng's home and arrested him. They cruelly slammed Mr. Zeng's mother-in-law to the ground, breaking her hand. They held his father-in-law's head and bashed it against the metal railings, making the old man's face bloody and covered with dark bruises. The young son of Mr. Zeng cried and called, "Do not take my dad away. My dad is a good person!" Mr. Zeng's wife, an English teacher in the same school, was also closely watched.

To date, Mr. Zeng has been detained for nearly half a year and the students he had taught have been seriously affected by his absence. The school and the students' parents have reasoned with the local government and requested his release. However, the 610 Office refused to release him and colluded with the court to illegally sentence Mr. Zeng. His family has spent nearly 10,000 yuan in an effort to get him released, including hiring a lawyer. After knowing the truth of Dafa, people with a sense of justice together with local practitioners went to the related government departments and requested the unconditional release of Mr. Zeng and refused to pay several thousand yuan demanded by the departments. These supportive actions greatly encouraged Mr. Zeng's family and intimidated the evil scoundrels.

The director of a local women association got to know the truth of Dafa and suggested that the practitioners should talk to more people about the principles of Falun Gong, the principles that encourage people to be kind, to be good people, and to help raise the moral standards of the society.
